A few meters from the Campus Brotas, the General Coordinator is located in a central neighborhood of the city. The building houses the institution's Rectory, as well as our Management and Quality Center (NGQ) and our Planning Advisory Board (ASPLAN).&nbsp; In the Coordination's gardens, there is a bronze statue of the late Professor Humberto de Castro Lima, former general coordinator of the FBDC. It is an environment surrounded by nature and historical landmarks of our academic community. Here, our students can contact the Institutional Academic Relationship and Internationalization Center (REAI) and the Research Ethics Committee (CEP). The General Coordination also includes the Distance Learning Nucleus (NEAD), the Educational Technologies Development Center (CEDETE), the Communication and Marketing Nucleus (NUCOM), the Evaluation Committee (CPA) and the Department of Infrastructure (DEPIN).
 In this building are also located the Commercial and People Development, Administrative and Financial, Legal, Communication and Marketing, Institutional Development and Social Impact Business coordinations.

With three pavilions and a modern structure, this campus is located in a central neighborhood of the Bahian capital. Are 9 laboratories, 23 rooms of class e 2 auditoriums to provide the ideal environment for academic and social development. Also on Campus Brotas, students, teachers, employees and the external public have access to a complete library with comfortable facilities and an up-to-date collection. Surrounded by a vast green area, this campus has 20 laboratories, 37 classrooms e 3 auditoriums. The library is also open to the outside community, with comfortable spaces for reading, studying and socializing. The environment has a modern and complete infrastructure, ample parking and social center with cafeteria. The Cabula Campus is also home to the Dental Center of Bahiana, where the Teaching-Care Outpatient Clinic is located, a field of practice for the quality training of dentistry students, from the 4th semester of the course, under the supervision of professors and has ability to serve up to 120 patients simultaneously. The Institutional Center for Teacher Development (NIDD) and the undergraduate course in Medicine at Bahiana held, on January 27th, at the Campus of Brotas, the 1st Meeting of the Mental Health and Self-Care Axis of the course. The opening of the event was attended by the coordinator of the Medicine course and vice-rector of Bahiana, prof. Humberto de Castro Lima Filho. On the occasion, he gave a brief presentation with updates regarding the course, followed by professor Iêda Aleluia, coordinator of the Mental Health and Self-Care Axis and member of the NIDD, who presented the pedagogical conception of the Axis and how it permeates the entire course of Medicine. Alongside Prof. Lígia Vilas Bôas, coordinator of the NIDD, she also mediated the discussions with the event participants. The meeting was attended by 30 teachers from different curricular components, who were able to reflect critically on the dimension of Mental Health and Self-Care in medical training. The event highlighted the relevance of communication and sharing of pedagogical processes between teachers in this area and others in the curriculum. The importance of always revisiting the Pedagogical Project of the course was also highlighted so that each plan dialogues and is aligned with the curricular proposal.

NIDD and Medicine course hold 1st Meeting of the Mental Health and Self-Care Axis

On the National Anti-Asylum Fight Day, the Psychology course held the Struggles in Mental Health meeting, in the auditorium of Pavilhão de Aulas III, on Campus Cabula. The activity aimed to enable participants to get in touch with critical analyzes on the importance of social movements for the anti-asylum struggle, as well as technical analyzes on contemporary social issues. “This year, we reflect on a complex, sensitive and emerging theme: Interfaces between mental health and violence in schools. . The program opened with the lecture "Daily challenges: reflections on mental health in everyday school life", given by psychologist, educational counselor, psychopedagogue and Master in Education, Andáiá Lima Mello. Next, high school students Carlos Santos da Luz, Adriele Santana de Assis, Erick Bispo Chavez and Carlos Henrique Anjos joined the round table "Mental Health and violence in schools: reports and experiences", mediated by teachers Iago Sampaio and Rafael Fernandes. The event ended with the Conversa Scenica activity, with the group Insenicos. The moment consisted of dialogue and training on topics that cross the field of mental health. Through small scenes, skits and interactions, the group invited students to reflect on the multiplicity of knowledge in the field of mental health.

Meeting "Struggles in Mental Health" marks the National Anti-Asylum Fight Day in Bahiana

The Psychology course of Bahiana held, on the morning of October 6th, the VIII Meeting of Struggles in Mental Health. The event took place in online format, with live transmission through the official channel of Bahiana No. <a style="color: #3598db; text-decoration: underline;" href="https://youtu.be/ThaLX_g8dWQ" target="_blank" rel="noopener">YouTube</a> and was aimed at undergraduate students from the 1st to the 10th semester of the course. Under the coordination of professor prof. Rafael Leite Fernandes, the event had the challenge of discussing contemporary mental health policy, as well as promoting critical, technical and ethical analysis of clinical cases in the area, in times of a pandemic. In this way, the opening table brought the theme "Arrangements and disarrangements of an assistance crossed by the pandemic and political dissonances: what are the current contours?", with guest professor Carolina Dórea. The program also featured the roundtable "Actions in Psychology in Times of Uncertainty: Experience Reports" with presentations by psychologists and professors Raquel Malheiro and Iago Sampaio. "This event has been consolidating itself as a hallmark of the Psychology course at Bahiana. It makes us reflect on something that crosses the psychologist's performance. We are counting on professionals who already work in this area of ​​knowledge and psychologists in training. This meeting also serves to remind us about our Human Rights and to encourage discussion about effective public policies that consider the subject in its entirety", declared Professor Rafael Leite Fernandes.

Psychology course holds VIII Meeting of Struggles in Mental Health

The lecture was held at the invitation of the Professional Master in Psychology Unisc, in celebration of the 60th anniversary of the regulation of Psychology as a profession. "What are the challenges of the training process, in higher education, when we consider mental health?". Based on this questioning, Professor Mônica expanded the discussion regarding the understanding of mental health, which is also established in the relational field, whose ways of living reflect the condition of the current civilization model. The professor, researcher and psychoanalyst, drew attention to the fact that individuals from Western societies are living an itinerary based on medicalization, in order to respond to the aspirations of the neoliberal system. On the other hand and within this context, Mônica Daltro proposed that higher education education should focus on the act of teaching and learning about living collectively. According to Daltro, the proposal is "to teach about the importance of sadness, fragility, the impossibility of teaching about civilized life".

At the invitation of Unisc, coordinator of the Professional Master's in Psychologies and Health Interventions, she discussed the challenges of the training process in higher education, from the perspective of mental health.
