A few meters from the Campus Brotas, the General Coordinator is located in a central neighborhood of the city. The building houses the institution's Rectory, as well as our Management and Quality Center (NGQ) and our Planning Advisory Board (ASPLAN).&nbsp; In the Coordination's gardens, there is a bronze statue of the late Professor Humberto de Castro Lima, former general coordinator of the FBDC. It is an environment surrounded by nature and historical landmarks of our academic community. Here, our students can contact the Institutional Academic Relationship and Internationalization Center (REAI) and the Research Ethics Committee (CEP). The General Coordination also includes the Distance Learning Nucleus (NEAD), the Educational Technologies Development Center (CEDETE), the Communication and Marketing Nucleus (NUCOM), the Evaluation Committee (CPA) and the Department of Infrastructure (DEPIN).
 In this building are also located the Commercial and People Development, Administrative and Financial, Legal, Communication and Marketing, Institutional Development and Social Impact Business coordinations.

With three pavilions and a modern structure, this campus is located in a central neighborhood of the Bahian capital. Are 9 laboratories, 23 rooms of class e 2 auditoriums to provide the ideal environment for academic and social development. Also on Campus Brotas, students, teachers, employees and the external public have access to a complete library with comfortable facilities and an up-to-date collection. Surrounded by a vast green area, this campus has 20 laboratories, 37 classrooms e 3 auditoriums. The library is also open to the outside community, with comfortable spaces for reading, studying and socializing. The environment has a modern and complete infrastructure, ample parking and social center with cafeteria. The Cabula Campus is also home to the Dental Center of Bahiana, where the Teaching-Care Outpatient Clinic is located, a field of practice for the quality training of dentistry students, from the 4th semester of the course, under the supervision of professors and has ability to serve up to 120 patients simultaneously. Students, teachers and collaborators of the Campus Cabula da Bahiana had a special moment of care, with the realization of another PICS Moment, which took place at the unit, on November 11th. The service with the Complementary Integrative Practices in Health offered the 29 participants sessions of auriculotherapy, Reiki and massage therapy applied by the students of the Bases of Complementary Therapies component. Momento PICS is an opportunity for Bahiana present integrative and complementary health practices to internal and external audiences. The action is being carried out in BahianaSince 2018.

Campus Cabula has PICS Moment

An extensive program marked the II May of the PICS, an annual action that took place from the 23rd to the 28th, with the objective of disseminating and strengthening the National and State Policy on Integrative and Complementary Practices in Health (PICS). The opening ceremony took place on May 23, in the auditorium of the Escola de Saúde Pública da Bahia (ESPBA), with the lecture “Flowering in Integrative and Complementary Practices in Health in the SUS”, presented by Professor Dr. Suzi Barboni, from UEFS. The programming took place in a hybrid format, that is, in face-to-face health promotion spaces and online. A Bahiana, through its Center for Integrative and Complementary Practices (CEPICS), was one of the entities participating in the event that was organized by Rede PICS Bahia, in partnership with Sesab, with public and private educational institutions, with popular movements and other institutions and entities of the state of Bahia. One of the highlights of the event was the lecture "<a style="color: #007bff; text-decoration: underline;" href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=chQRGyHI2dQ" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Place of Ayurveda in the Current Health System</a>", with the doctor and Ayurvedic therapist Dr. José Ruguê Ribeiro Júnior, broadcast live on the official channel of Bahiana on Youtube.

 Between the 25th and 28th of May, face-to-face activities were carried out on the Campi Brotas and Cabula da Bahiana, such as Kundalini Yoga and Meditation workshops, with professor Himatdyal Kaur, of Bioenergetic Analysis, with professor Celeste Sá, of Mindfulness, with professors Marta Vanessa Souza and Marcela Gonçalves, and the experience Chinese Body Practices, with Professor Renata Roseghini. Reiki sessions were also promoted, with psychologist Elza Margareth and Heldon Patriarca, in massage therapy, with prof. João Cardeal, of auriculotherapy, with Dr. Gerfson Oliveira and Professor Renata Roseghini, as well as the conversation circle “Therapeutic Care of Ayurveda”, with Regina Puja Kinzer, who also provided assistance in the area. The lecture “Non-hegemonic knowledge in health education”, conducted by prof. Gerfson Oliveira and prof.ª Mônica Oliveira, and the lecture “Natural Agriculture in Urban Gardens: social technology to cultivate integrative corporeality in health education”, with prof. Paulo Rodrigo Aristides, Anderson Murilo de Lima and Dr. Rarielle Lima, took place in online mode and are available on YouTube.

The activity mobilized several public and private entities celebrating the National and State Policy on Integrative and Complementary Practices in Health (PICS).

Bahiana participates in the II May of the PICS

To celebrate the approval of the National Policy on PICS (PNPIC), the PICS Bahia Network, in partnership with the Health Department of the State of Bahia (Sesab), with the Bahiana and other public and private entities, will hold the II May of the PICS, from the 23rd to the 28th of May, with in-person and remote activities, in several municipalities in Bahia. The program highlights on May 24, at 19 pm, the lecture "The place of Ayurveda in the Current Health System", with the doctor and Ayurvedic therapist Dr. José Ruguê Ribeiro Júnior and mediation by the Dean of Extension of the Bahiana, Professor Carolina Pedroza de Carvalho Garcia, and Professor Regina Puja Kinzer. The lecture will be broadcast live on the institution's official channel on <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=chQRGyHI2dQ" target="_blank" rel="noopener">YouTube</a>. Alongside practices such as integrative community therapy, Yoga, apitherapy, aromatherapy, bioenergetics, family constellation and chromotherapy, Ayurveda can be present at all points of the Health Care Network, primarily in Primary Care, with great potential for action. . One of the approaches in this field is the expanded view of the health/disease process and the global promotion of human care, especially self-care. The indications are based on the individual as a whole, considering him in his various aspects: physical, psychological, emotional and social. About the speaker Dr. José Ruguê Ribeiro Júnior is a doctor trained in Medicine at the Federal University of Uberlândia since 1981, and a specialist in Intensive Care at AMIB in 1985. He was head of the ICU at Hospital Santa Genoveva in Uberlândia, from 1985 to 1999, and director clinic at this Hospital for several years. He is currently president of the Sri Vájera Foundation and the Kalayasa Ayurvedic Clinic and director of courses promoted by the Brahma Vidyalaya Yoga School. Director of the Brahma Vidyalaya Yoga School – teaching training courses in Ayurveda, teacher of Yoga and Suddha Raja Yoga in the Suddha Sabha, in Araguari and in various parts of the world. He is president of the Sri Vájera Foundation, maintainer of courses and activities for the dissemination of Perennial Wisdom and assistance activities in health and education, and is also president of the World Ayurveda Movement, based in Milan - Italy, in addition to being a plant researcher. Lecture on Ayurveda integrates the schedule of the II May of the PICS

RedePICS Bahia, composed of training institutions (CEPICS-BAHIANA, UFBA, UNEB, UEFS, UFSB, UFRB, FTC, ESPBA), professionals, managers and users of Integrative and Complementary Health Practices (PICS) in the municipal and state networks of Bahia, social control (CES) and popular movements (ANEPS, AMB), invites everyone to participate in the various activities of the II MAY OF PICS - Flourish in Integrative and Complementary Practices in Health, between the 23th and 28st of May. The second edition of PICS May aims to celebrate and promote the expansion of PICS in the SUS in the state of Bahia, in its various municipalities and, for this, it will take place in a hybrid way (in person and telepresence) and in different spaces. CEPICS Bahiana integrates the schedule of the II May of the PICS.

O <a style="color: #007bff; text-decoration: underline;" href="https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLRUi34Q3MMrCjgfVZSBN1Og_sEBaq3NVF" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Youtube channel of Bahiana</a>&nbsp;is providing free classes on Integrative and Complementary Practices (PICS), offered by the Center for Integrative and Complementary Practices of Bahiana (CEPICS). "The practices are systems and resources that seek to stimulate natural mechanisms for the prevention of injuries and health recovery, through effective and safe technologies, with an emphasis on welcoming listening, on the development of the therapeutic bond and on the integration of the human being with the environment environment and society”, as described by Professor Renata Roseghini, CEPICS coordinator Bahiana. Renata Roseghini explains that the PICS also develop the perspective of valuing the individual's role in their health, including several self-care guidelines. In this way, CEPICS carries out several teaching and extension actions, raising awareness in the academic community and in care practices, both in institutional spaces and in external events. The center was inaugurated in January 2018 and includes several professors, students, graduates, employees of the Bahiana and external partners, members of RECEPICS-BA. During the pandemic and social distancing, CEPICS partners, in partnership with Bahiana, are producing a series of videos of integrative practices to help maintain the body-mind-spirit balance, since the moment is challenging for maintaining health, in particular, mental health. “We started with the practice of Yoga and meditation, but we will have several contributions, including from professors and students of the Post-Graduation course in PICS at the Bahiana”, clarifies Renata Roseghini.
