A few meters from the Campus Brotas, the General Coordinator is located in a central neighborhood of the city. The building houses the institution's Rectory, as well as our Management and Quality Center (NGQ) and our Planning Advisory Board (ASPLAN).&nbsp; In the Coordination's gardens, there is a bronze statue of the late Professor Humberto de Castro Lima, former general coordinator of the FBDC. It is an environment surrounded by nature and historical landmarks of our academic community. Here, our students can contact the Institutional Academic Relationship and Internationalization Center (REAI) and the Research Ethics Committee (CEP). The General Coordination also includes the Distance Learning Nucleus (NEAD), the Educational Technologies Development Center (CEDETE), the Communication and Marketing Nucleus (NUCOM), the Evaluation Committee (CPA) and the Department of Infrastructure (DEPIN).
 In this building are also located the Commercial and People Development, Administrative and Financial, Legal, Communication and Marketing, Institutional Development and Social Impact Business coordinations.

General Coordination

With three pavilions and a modern structure, this campus is located in a central neighborhood of the Bahian capital. Are 9 laboratories, 23 rooms of class e 2 auditoriums to provide the ideal environment for academic and social development. Also on Campus Brotas, students, teachers, employees and the external public have access to a complete library with comfortable facilities and an up-to-date collection. Surrounded by a vast green area, this campus has 20 laboratories, 37 classrooms e 3 auditoriums. The library is also open to the outside community, with comfortable spaces for reading, studying and socializing. The environment has a modern and complete infrastructure, ample parking and social center with cafeteria. The Cabula Campus is also home to the Dental Center of Bahiana, where the Teaching-Care Outpatient Clinic is located, a field of practice for the quality training of dentistry students, from the 4th semester of the course, under the supervision of professors and has ability to serve up to 120 patients simultaneously. With the aim of portraying the pandemic scenario of recent years through art, the plastic artist, pulmonologist and professor at Bahiana, Almério Machado Júnior, will hold the virtual exhibition entitled “Et Plaga”. The artistic exhibition will take place throughout the 26th of February, through the teacher's personal Instagram profile (<a style="color: #007bff; text-decoration: underline;" href="https://www.instagram.com/almerioj/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">@almerioj</a>).&nbsp; The exhibition was created from the concern of the doctor Almério Júnior, when thinking of ways to reveal what he has experienced in recent years, having followed almost 400 people with Covid-19 and lost some patients to the disease. In addition, at the global level, millions of deaths and a series of economic and social difficulties were recorded, while feelings of fear and uncertainty prevailed.&nbsp; “This period marked me a lot because of the feeling of impotence, when there were no treatments and health professionals needed to keep the patient alive and in dignified conditions. Unfortunately, sometimes the efforts were not enough”, highlights the pulmonologist. The doctor reports that social insecurity and suffering with isolation were the main motivations for elaborating the exposure. Therefore, as he explained, most of the works that will be presented were done in the years 2020 and 2021, inspired by the context of the pandemic.

Virtual exhibition portrays uncertainties and fears during the pandemic

A Bahiana celebrated yet another partnership with the State of Bahia by inaugurating the Hub Maker Salvador space, through the donation of 3D Printers that the institution acquired during the project <a style="color: #007bff; text-decoration: underline;" href="www.faceshieldforlife3d.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Face Shield for Life 3D</a>. The opening took place on December 16, and the space is located at the Youth Center for Science and Culture (CJCC), at the headquarters of Colégio Estadual Central, in Nazaré. “It was a very special day for bringing together different academic bodies and society. An example of effective social action, with more opportunities for everyone", highlighted the professor and dean of Research, Innovation and Postgraduate Studies Stricto Sensu of Bahiana, Atson Fernandes, pointing out that an important cycle has been concluded, “a cycle that began in March 2020 and which had important partners, professors Eduardo Jorge, Elton Barreto, Peterson Cerqueira and Leandro Brito, SESAB, Bahiana, UNEB, UFOB, SEC, more than 60 independent makers, the team of the Dean of Research at Bahiana and the society that financed this project”.

3D Printers&nbsp;
During the Face Shield for Life 3D project, 3 face protection masks were made, using 5D printers, and donated to the health teams that were fighting Covid-19. With that, it was agreed that, later, the printers acquired from the money collected from the society would be destined to the CJCC for students of the public high school network. Thus, the inauguration of Hub Maker Salvador took place as a result of the donation of printers, also including the assembly of computers and configurations for the use of equipment.&nbsp;

Recognition of the Government of the State of Bahia
Thanks to the success and importance of the Face Shield for Life 3D project, not only for the preparation of the PPE for direct protection of health teams in the fight against Covid-19, but also for the impact of the positive action that resulted in the emergence of other groups with similar initiatives , the State Government issued a Letter of Appreciation in recognition of the project carried out (<a style="color: #007bff; text-decoration: underline;" href="https://cms.bahiana.cworks.cloud/uploads/bahiana/originals/119c8db0-74c8-4e12-a131-160b47bb9dce.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">attachment</a>).&nbsp;
