A few meters from the Campus Brotas, the General Coordinator is located in a central neighborhood of the city. The building houses the institution's Rectory, as well as our Management and Quality Center (NGQ) and our Planning Advisory Board (ASPLAN).&nbsp; In the Coordination's gardens, there is a bronze statue of the late Professor Humberto de Castro Lima, former general coordinator of the FBDC. It is an environment surrounded by nature and historical landmarks of our academic community. Here, our students can contact the Institutional Academic Relationship and Internationalization Center (REAI) and the Research Ethics Committee (CEP). The General Coordination also includes the Distance Learning Nucleus (NEAD), the Educational Technologies Development Center (CEDETE), the Communication and Marketing Nucleus (NUCOM), the Evaluation Committee (CPA) and the Department of Infrastructure (DEPIN).
 In this building are also located the Commercial and People Development, Administrative and Financial, Legal, Communication and Marketing, Institutional Development and Social Impact Business coordinations.

With three pavilions and a modern structure, this campus is located in a central neighborhood of the Bahian capital. Are 9 laboratories, 23 rooms of class e 2 auditoriums to provide the ideal environment for academic and social development. Also on Campus Brotas, students, teachers, employees and the external public have access to a complete library with comfortable facilities and an up-to-date collection. Surrounded by a vast green area, this campus has 20 laboratories, 37 classrooms e 3 auditoriums. The library is also open to the outside community, with comfortable spaces for reading, studying and socializing. The environment has a modern and complete infrastructure, ample parking and social center with cafeteria. The Cabula Campus is also home to the Dental Center of Bahiana, where the Teaching-Care Outpatient Clinic is located, a field of practice for the quality training of dentistry students, from the 4th semester of the course, under the supervision of professors and has ability to serve up to 120 patients simultaneously. A Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública celebrates 70 years of foundation, this Tuesday (31/05), with a special program that will be broadcast live on its official channel on <a style="color: #007bff; text-decoration: underline;" href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WC7UAeNTkvw" target="_blank" rel="noopener">YouTube</a>, from 20 pm. The high point of the celebration will be marked by an interview and a show by the Bahian singer and songwriter Carlinhos Brown, recognized for his creations, always innovative and contemporary, which combine art with the appreciation of Brazilian culture. In its history, the Bahiana, as the institution is known, has a trajectory that has been combining tradition with innovation. Through humanistic training of health professionals, the institution stands out for its research and extension actions, always aimed at benefiting society and the community in which it operates. In its 70s, the Bahiana contributed to the training of thousands of health professionals, in undergraduate courses in Biomedicine, Physical Education, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Medicine, Dentistry, Psychology and Occupational Therapy, in addition to the training of masters and doctors, in its Stricto Sensu Medicine and Human Health, Psychology and Health Interventions and Health Technologies, and specialists in dozens of Lato Sensu courses.

Bahiana celebrates 70 years in a special live with Carlinhos Brown

To celebrate the approval of the National Policy on PICS (PNPIC), the PICS Bahia Network, in partnership with the Health Department of the State of Bahia (Sesab), with the Bahiana and other public and private entities, will hold the II May of the PICS, from the 23rd to the 28th of May, with in-person and remote activities, in several municipalities in Bahia. The program highlights on May 24, at 19 pm, the lecture "The place of Ayurveda in the Current Health System", with the doctor and Ayurvedic therapist Dr. José Ruguê Ribeiro Júnior and mediation by the Dean of Extension of the Bahiana, Professor Carolina Pedroza de Carvalho Garcia, and Professor Regina Puja Kinzer. The lecture will be broadcast live on the institution's official channel on <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=chQRGyHI2dQ" target="_blank" rel="noopener">YouTube</a>. Alongside practices such as integrative community therapy, Yoga, apitherapy, aromatherapy, bioenergetics, family constellation and chromotherapy, Ayurveda can be present at all points of the Health Care Network, primarily in Primary Care, with great potential for action. . One of the approaches in this field is the expanded view of the health/disease process and the global promotion of human care, especially self-care. The indications are based on the individual as a whole, considering him in his various aspects: physical, psychological, emotional and social. About the speaker Dr. José Ruguê Ribeiro Júnior is a doctor trained in Medicine at the Federal University of Uberlândia since 1981, and a specialist in Intensive Care at AMIB in 1985. He was head of the ICU at Hospital Santa Genoveva in Uberlândia, from 1985 to 1999, and director clinic at this Hospital for several years. He is currently president of the Sri Vájera Foundation and the Kalayasa Ayurvedic Clinic and director of courses promoted by the Brahma Vidyalaya Yoga School. Director of the Brahma Vidyalaya Yoga School – teaching training courses in Ayurveda, teacher of Yoga and Suddha Raja Yoga in the Suddha Sabha, in Araguari and in various parts of the world. He is president of the Sri Vájera Foundation, maintainer of courses and activities for the dissemination of Perennial Wisdom and assistance activities in health and education, and is also president of the World Ayurveda Movement, based in Milan - Italy, in addition to being a plant researcher.
