A few meters from the Campus Brotas, the General Coordinator is located in a central neighborhood of the city. The building houses the institution's Rectory, as well as our Management and Quality Center (NGQ) and our Planning Advisory Board (ASPLAN).&nbsp; In the Coordination's gardens, there is a bronze statue of the late Professor Humberto de Castro Lima, former general coordinator of the FBDC. It is an environment surrounded by nature and historical landmarks of our academic community. Here, our students can contact the Institutional Academic Relationship and Internationalization Center (REAI) and the Research Ethics Committee (CEP). The General Coordination also includes the Distance Learning Nucleus (NEAD), the Educational Technologies Development Center (CEDETE), the Communication and Marketing Nucleus (NUCOM), the Evaluation Committee (CPA) and the Department of Infrastructure (DEPIN).
 In this building are also located the Commercial and People Development, Administrative and Financial, Legal, Communication and Marketing, Institutional Development and Social Impact Business coordinations.

General Coordination

With three pavilions and a modern structure, this campus is located in a central neighborhood of the Bahian capital. Are 7 laboratories, 23 rooms of class e 2 auditoriums to provide the ideal environment for academic and social development. Also on Campus Brotas, students, teachers, employees and the external public have access to a complete library with comfortable facilities and an up-to-date collection. Surrounded by a vast green area, this campus has 20 laboratories, 37 classrooms e 3 auditoriums. The library is also open to the outside community, with comfortable spaces for reading, studying and socializing. The environment has a modern and complete infrastructure, ample parking and social center with cafeteria. The Cabula Campus is also home to the Dental Center of Bahiana, where the Teaching-Care Outpatient Clinic is located, a field of practice for the quality training of dentistry students, from the 4th semester of the course, under the supervision of professors and has ability to serve up to 120 patients simultaneously. "Two Decades of Science, Charms and Axé". This was the theme of the 20th Dental Conference of Bahiana (Joba) that took place on the 5th and 6th of May, at the institution's Cabula Campus, marking the in-person return of the institution's major extension activities. The event also marked the 25th anniversary of the Dentistry course at Bahiana. The opening ceremony took place on the night of May 5th and was attended by the director of the Regional Council of Dentistry and a former professor at Bahiana, Marcel Arriaga, from the People Development coordinator, Luiza Ribeiro, on the occasion representing the dean of Bahiana, Dr. Maria Luisa Carvalho Soliani, in addition to professors Urbino Tunes, Ceres Mendonça and Silvia Reis, who received the Joba's Name tribute. For the course coordinator, Prof. Cecília Azoubel, Joba is an opportunity for Dentistry students to experience science. “They are encouraged to present scientific works, to attend lectures by in-house professors and guests and to understand the social role of dentistry and of being a health professional”. For Joba's student coordinator, Julianne Brito (9th semester), the 20th edition of the journey was a success: "We spent three years without having a face-to-face edition of Joba and, even so, today we have 242 works registered, almost 600 participants and 47 speakers. So, this was a huge overcoming of challenges, which enabled an extensive exchange of experiences between students and professors". Professor Paulo César Feitosa highlighted the face-to-face modality as a point of resumption of the journey: "This return to face-to-face training takes us back to the beginnings of the concepts of humanity, in which the human being is a social being that needs coexistence, presence. This Journey marks this point where we go back to living face-to-face, this is our essence". The event's program included actions such as: whitening workshop, hands-on "Direct veneers in composite resin", hands-on "Simplifying restorations in posterior teeth" and hands-on "Dental sutures", in addition to lectures, round tables , presentations of works and panels. The Dentistry course at Bahiana held, on April 10, at Auditorium II of Campus Cabula, the 20th Pré-Joba (Dental Day of the Bahiana), with the lecture “Aesthetic Dentistry: teeth, face and compositions. The activity is a preview of Joba, which will take place on May 5th and 6th, at Campus Cabula. Registration for the 20th Joba is now open and can be done at <a style="color: #007bff; text-decoration: underline;" href="https://inscricoes.bahiana.edu.br/produto/522/joba-jornada-de-odontologia-da-bahiana/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Registration Center</a>. Having as target audience students and professionals in the area of ​​dentistry, the 20th Pre-Joba was coordinated by professor Paulo César Pinheiro Feitosa and had the participation, in its organization, of Dentistry students from Bahiana. Every year, the Dentistry course at the Bahiana carries out Joba, always involving students and teachers who make up the teaching and student committees, with the aim of disseminating scientific knowledge through the presentation of papers, seminars, courses, conferences, hands-on sessions and workshops.

The event takes place as a preview of the Dental Journey of Bahiana, which will be held on the 5th and 6th of May. Registration is now open!

Dentistry Course holds 20th Pre-Joba

<img style="display: block; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" src="https://cms.bahiana.cworks.cloud/uploads/bahiana/originals/fbaee4e7-ff74-4dad-b0ff-09865b7a9d06.jpg" alt="Bahiana Photo Jobafir" width="800" height="499"> The work "Acute Behavior of Cardiorespiratory Variables Facing the Prone Position in Patients with Covid-19" by student Katharina Lima de Oliveira from the 8th semester of the Physiotherapy course received the 1st place award at the Bahia Journey of Respiratory Physiotherapy, Cardiovascular Physiotherapy and Physiotherapy in Intensive Therapy (JOBAFIR), which took place on October 7th and 8th, at Portobelo Hotel, in Salvador. The work was developed in the Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy Research Group of the Bahiana (GEPFIR), in the line of research of the Professional Master's in Health Technologies, coordinated by Professor Marcela Araújo de Moura under the guidance of Professors Cristiane Dias and Patrícia Alcântara. The award ceremony was attended by the coordinator of the Physiotherapy course at Bahiana, Luciana Bilitário. The day was coordinated by the teachers of the Bahiana Fleury Ferreira Neto and Francisco Oliveira.

The event took place in early October, in Salvador.

The Dentistry course held, on September 23, a preview of the Dental Journey of Bahiana: The JOBA Preview, with virtual meetings on the official channel of Bahiana on YouTube and the Zoom platform. This year, the event discussed the importance of ethics in the professional use of social networks. Dentistry professionals and students participated. The JOBA Preview aimed to contribute to the technical and scientific improvement of Dentistry, integrating specialties and encouraging participants to develop activities in the fields of research, teaching and extension. Programme The JOBA Preview, which was coordinated by Professor Francisco Xavier Paranhos Coêlho Simões, developed its activities around the topics: Entrepreneurship and the Labor Market; Entrepreneurship in Social Networks and Ethics in Social Networks. Speakers were invited prof. Leonardo Muniz, who gave the lecture "How to build a brand and learn to 'sell' in Dentistry", and Prof. Bruno Rosa, who brought the theme "How to raise the patient's perception from analog to digital".

Meeting discussed the importance of ethics in the professional use of social networks.
