A few meters from the Campus Brotas, the General Coordinator is located in a central neighborhood of the city. The building houses the institution's Rectory, as well as our Management and Quality Center (NGQ) and our Planning Advisory Board (ASPLAN).&nbsp; In the Coordination's gardens, there is a bronze statue of the late Professor Humberto de Castro Lima, former general coordinator of the FBDC. It is an environment surrounded by nature and historical landmarks of our academic community. Here, our students can contact the Institutional Academic Relationship and Internationalization Center (REAI) and the Research Ethics Committee (CEP). The General Coordination also includes the Distance Learning Nucleus (NEAD), the Educational Technologies Development Center (CEDETE), the Communication and Marketing Nucleus (NUCOM), the Evaluation Committee (CPA) and the Department of Infrastructure (DEPIN).
 In this building are also located the Commercial and People Development, Administrative and Financial, Legal, Communication and Marketing, Institutional Development and Social Impact Business coordinations.

With three pavilions and a modern structure, this campus is located in a central neighborhood of the Bahian capital. Are 10 laboratories, 21 theatres, of class e 1 auditorium to provide the ideal environment for academic and social development. Also on Campus Brotas, students, teachers, employees and the external public have access to a complete library with comfortable facilities and an up-to-date collection. Surrounded by a vast green area, this campus has 20 laboratories, 30 classrooms e 3 auditoriums. The library is also open to the outside community, with comfortable spaces for reading, studying and socializing. The environment has a modern and complete infrastructure, ample parking and social center with cafeteria. The importance given to well-being and an organizational climate of welcome, safety and empathy consecrated the Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública as the big winner of the Great Place to Work Award (GPTW), given to the best companies to work for, according to a survey of its own employees. In this 12th edition of the ranking, 82 large companies participated, a 65% increase in participation compared to last year. They represented Bahiana at the event Pollyanna Leal, Careers and Compensation Manager, Luan Gomes, Human Resources Analyst and Marília Silva, Academic Secretary of Undergraduate Courses.
Pollyanna Leal attributes the institution's success to a culture that is always dedicated to caring for people and placing them at the center of everything. "We encourage each person to be a protagonist in the collective construction of an increasingly better work environment. We maintain active listening channels, which strengthen engagement and mutual trust between teams and leaders. The institution trusts its people, and people trust the institution. It is this relationship of respect, reciprocity, and shared purpose that sustains yet another victory for the institution." Bahiana, "Because caring is in our DNA," she declares. Following the awards, she also highlights the adoption of flexible policies that value people's well-being and health. "When employees feel they can count on the institution where they work, the bond of trust is strengthened, directly impacting engagement and the quality of relationships," Pollyanna points out.
Among the initiatives, the manager highlights the family support policy, which includes extended leave (such as maternity, paternity, covering same-sex relationships, marriage, grandparenthood, among others), reduced working hours for mothers of children in their first year of life, and monthly allowances for medical appointments and school meetings for children up to five years of age. "We also have the program Bahiana da Família, which provides personalized and multidisciplinary support, focusing on primary care, prevention, and comprehensive care. The financial education program offers personalized consultations and guidance for those seeking loans, helping them develop solutions and prevent debt. All these actions reinforce our commitment to care, satisfaction, and strengthening the bond between people and the institution," concludes the manager, who also takes the opportunity to announce that, starting in July, Bahiana, for the first time in Bahia, will adopt a reduction in working hours, without a reduction in salary, adopting the 5x2 scale (40 hours per week).&nbsp;

A Bahiana won first place in the Large Companies category. In total, the 20 companies that obtained the highest scores according to the regulation criteria were awarded, five of which were small, ten were medium-sized and the other five were large. More than 50 Bahian companies from the most varied sectors participated in this year's survey, totaling 31.616 registered employees. 
They represented the Bahiana at the ceremony the vice-rector of the institution, Dr. Humberto Castro Lima Filho, the people and learning manager of the Bahiana (GEPAP), Telma Bastos, the People Development coordinator, Prof. Luiza Ribeiro, as well as representatives of the academic and administrative technical staff. "Getting here was a great journey of 5 years and staying in this place for 6 years has required effort and continuous learning. Identifying our scenarios through research, acting on improvement needs, transforming leaders and teams into protagonists of the environment they desire for you", declared Telma Bastos.

Tradition combined with innovation. This remarkable feature contributed to the Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública won, for the 5th consecutive time, the title of Best Company to Work for in Bahia, by the Great Place To Work Institute. The award, announced last Monday (17/07), is given to institutions that are evaluated and recognized by the employees themselves as good or excellent work environments. In addition to being in first place on the GPTW podium in Bahia, the Bahiana has been reaching prominent positions among large companies in Brazil, reaching 19th place in the National Ranking of Best Company to Work for, in 2022. The People Development coordinator at Bahiana, Prof. Luiza Ribeiro, also points out that 60% of the job vacancies opened by the institution are occupied by the employees themselves, through internal selection. “He knows he can evolve professionally, which gives him more confidence in the institution. And this is pointed out by them within the GPTW survey ”, she highlights. According to Prof. Luiza Ribeiro, this achievement is due to constant listening to the needs highlighted by the employees themselves: “As we exercise listening and feedback, we can improve our policies in order to meet the real demands placed by the employees themselves. And these actions and benefit programs meet their real needs, as we see them as citizens. These are needs that arise when exercising their roles as fathers, mothers, students, for example. A Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública has just won, for the fourth consecutive time, the 1st place in the ranking of the Great Place to Work – GPTW-BA award, given to companies that are recognized by their employees as a good place to work. The award was published in the edition of Jornal Correio, on July 29.
