A few meters from the Campus Brotas, the General Coordinator is located in a central neighborhood of the city. The building houses the institution's Rectory, as well as our Management and Quality Center (NGQ) and our Planning Advisory Board (ASPLAN).&nbsp; In the Coordination's gardens, there is a bronze statue of the late Professor Humberto de Castro Lima, former general coordinator of the FBDC. It is an environment surrounded by nature and historical landmarks of our academic community. Here, our students can contact the Institutional Academic Relationship and Internationalization Center (REAI) and the Research Ethics Committee (CEP). The General Coordination also includes the Distance Learning Nucleus (NEAD), the Educational Technologies Development Center (CEDETE), the Communication and Marketing Nucleus (NUCOM), the Evaluation Committee (CPA) and the Department of Infrastructure (DEPIN).
 In this building are also located the Commercial and People Development, Administrative and Financial, Legal, Communication and Marketing, Institutional Development and Social Impact Business coordinations.

General Coordination

With three pavilions and a modern structure, this campus is located in a central neighborhood of the Bahian capital. Are 10 laboratories, 21 theatres, of class e 1 auditorium to provide the ideal environment for academic and social development. Also on Campus Brotas, students, teachers, employees and the external public have access to a complete library with comfortable facilities and an up-to-date collection. Surrounded by a vast green area, this campus has 20 laboratories, 30 classrooms e 3 auditoriums. The library is also open to the outside community, with comfortable spaces for reading, studying and socializing. The environment has a modern and complete infrastructure, ample parking and social center with cafeteria. The Cabula Campus is also home to the Dental Center of Bahiana, where the Teaching-Care Outpatient Clinic is located, a practical field for the quality training of Dentistry students, from the 4th semester of the course, under the supervision of professors, and which has capacity to serve up to 120 patients simultaneously, and Ontological clinic, providing private and accessible service to the population, performed by highly qualified professionals. <a style="color: #007bff; text-decoration: underline;" href="https://en.bahiana.edu.br/laboratorios-de-ensino-campus-cabula/">Discover the teaching laboratories.</a>

The Toxicological Information and Assistance Center of Bahia (CIATox-BA) carried out, in Salvador, Training in Identification, Control and Management of Scorpions of Interest in Health, from September 25th to 29th with activities developed at the Research and Innovation Center ( NUPI) from Bahiana on September 27th and 28th. The training was given by technicians from CIATox-BA and consultants from the Ministry of Health. The result of integrated planning between CIATox-BA, the General Coordination of Surveillance of Zoonoses and Vector-Transmitted Diseases of the Ministry of Health (CGZV/MS) and the Directorate of Epidemiological Surveillance of Bahia (DIVEP/SESAB), with the support of Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública (EBMSP), the course with a workload of 40 hours, aimed to train health professionals from Regional Health Centers and Municipal Health Departments, aiming to implement actions to control and manage scorpions (environmental management) in the state of Bahia and, consequently, a reduction in the number of accidents and their morbidity and mortality. The theoretical-practical classes covered topics such as systematics and taxonomy of scorpion species of medical importance in Brazil and Bahia and monitoring of risk factors for contact between the human population and the agent of the accident. In addition, aspects of the natural history, morphology, ecology and behavior together with the techniques for collecting, packaging, handling and flow of these animals. Part of the classes had the participation of students from the 6th semester of the Biomedicine course. "As Biomedicine is a very diverse area to work in, I believe it was an important moment to improve knowledge, as well as enhance opportunities through relationships", highlighted biologist and NUPI supervisor, Jéssica Mirella.
