A few meters from the Campus Brotas, the General Coordinator is located in a central neighborhood of the city. The building houses the institution's Rectory, as well as our Management and Quality Center (NGQ) and our Planning Advisory Board (ASPLAN).&nbsp; In the Coordination's gardens, there is a bronze statue of the late Professor Humberto de Castro Lima, former general coordinator of the FBDC. It is an environment surrounded by nature and historical landmarks of our academic community. Here, our students can contact the Institutional Academic Relationship and Internationalization Center (REAI) and the Research Ethics Committee (CEP). The General Coordination also includes the Distance Learning Nucleus (NEAD), the Educational Technologies Development Center (CEDETE), the Communication and Marketing Nucleus (NUCOM), the Evaluation Committee (CPA) and the Department of Infrastructure (DEPIN).
 In this building are also located the Commercial and People Development, Administrative and Financial, Legal, Communication and Marketing, Institutional Development and Social Impact Business coordinations.

With three pavilions and a modern structure, this campus is located in a central neighborhood of the Bahian capital. Are 10 laboratories, 21 rooms of class e 1 auditorium to provide the ideal environment for academic and social development. Also on Campus Brotas, students, teachers, employees and the external public have access to a complete library with comfortable facilities and an up-to-date collection. Surrounded by a vast green area, this campus has 20 laboratories, 30 classrooms e 3 auditoriums. The library is also open to the outside community, with comfortable spaces for reading, studying and socializing. The environment has a modern and complete infrastructure, ample parking and social center with cafeteria. The Cabula Campus is also home to the Dental Center of Bahiana, where the Teaching-Care Outpatient Clinic is located, a practical field for the quality training of Dentistry students, from the 4th semester of the course, under the supervision of professors, and which has capacity to serve up to 120 patients simultaneously, and Ontological clinic, providing private and accessible service to the population, performed by highly qualified professionals. <a style="color: #007bff; text-decoration: underline;" href="https://en.bahiana.edu.br/laboratorios-de-ensino-campus-cabula/">Discover the teaching laboratories.</a>

The exchange of experiences between students and teachers is an important part of academic training. This premise becomes even more intensified when the exchange is carried out between groups of different nationalities. With that in mind, the Bahiana, through its Center for International Academic Relations and Internationalization (REAI), is hosting, between October 31st and November 10th, a group of students and a professor from the Medicine course at the Juan N. Corpas University (Colombia ) for various academic activities. On November 5th, Colombian professor Daniela Arango held a workshop on salutogenesis, a study that she has been developing at her institution. According to her, salutogenesis is a concept that focuses on health and not on illnesses: “We are bringing to the Bahiana a study on salutogenesis and the construction of an asset map to understand the actions that communities take in their daily lives in terms of food, for the construction of public policies and nutritional interventions”. She says that most colleges and health courses in the world focus on illness and not health. “What we want at Corpas is to expand this vision and think more about health than illness, because health is an important object of research”, declares Daniela. Bianca Saenz, a 7th semester student at Juan N. Corpas University, highlights hospitality as a highlight of her experience at Bahiana: “Both students, teachers and all people with administrative functions at the Bahiana they are very kind. I believe that communication between Spanish and Portuguese is very rewarding and it is worth all the resources invested in this initiative.”

Group of exchange students from Colombia holds workshop on Salutogenesis

Various exchanges of knowledge, whether scientific, cultural or behavioral. This is how one can understand the basis of exchange activity, which is increasingly growing in Bahiana, thanks to the promotion of interinstitutional partnerships promoted by the Center for Institutional Academic Relations and Internationalization (REAI). Within this perspective, the Bahiana has been receiving, since October 31st, a group of 11 students and a professor from the Medicine course at the Juan N. Corpas University, in Colombia. On November 1st, they participated in a meeting with the Cardiovascular Diseases research group, led by professor Ana Marice Ladeia, coordinator of the Master's and Doctorate Program in Medicine and Human Health. On the occasion, the two groups presented their respective research, with the Colombian academics bringing the concept of Salutogenesis and the construction of a map of assets to understand the actions that communities take in their daily lives, in terms of food. In turn, Professor Ana Marice's research group presented research on the relationship between diet and cardiovascular diseases in a community in the backlands of Bahia. Throughout the visit that continues until November 10th, visitors have been carrying out an intense program including technical visits to the Vida Plena Community Complex (CCVP), a partner of Bahiana and practice field of the Medicine course, meetings with research groups, workshops and other academic activities. "This is a very important initiative, from the point of view of internationalization, because we welcome students of another nationality to learn about what we are doing in terms of research and we get to know what they are researching. These meetings allow us to later develop common work , as we have common research themes", said Dr. Ana Marice Ladeia.

Activity is part of the institution’s internationalization program.
