A few meters from the Campus Brotas, the General Coordinator is located in a central neighborhood of the city. The building houses the institution's Rectory, as well as our Management and Quality Center (NGQ) and our Planning Advisory Board (ASPLAN).&nbsp; In the Coordination's gardens, there is a bronze statue of the late Professor Humberto de Castro Lima, former general coordinator of the FBDC. It is an environment surrounded by nature and historical landmarks of our academic community. Here, our students can contact the Institutional Academic Relationship and Internationalization Center (REAI) and the Research Ethics Committee (CEP). The General Coordination also includes the Distance Learning Nucleus (NEAD), the Educational Technologies Development Center (CEDETE), the Communication and Marketing Nucleus (NUCOM), the Evaluation Committee (CPA) and the Department of Infrastructure (DEPIN).
 In this building are also located the Commercial and People Development, Administrative and Financial, Legal, Communication and Marketing, Institutional Development and Social Impact Business coordinations.

With three pavilions and a modern structure, this campus is located in a central neighborhood of the Bahian capital. Are 9 laboratories, 23 rooms of class e 2 auditoriums to provide the ideal environment for academic and social development. Also on Campus Brotas, students, teachers, employees and the external public have access to a complete library with comfortable facilities and an up-to-date collection. Surrounded by a vast green area, this campus has 20 laboratories, 37 classrooms e 3 auditoriums. The library is also open to the outside community, with comfortable spaces for reading, studying and socializing. The environment has a modern and complete infrastructure, ample parking and social center with cafeteria. The Cabula Campus is also home to the Dental Center of Bahiana, where the Teaching-Care Outpatient Clinic is located, a field of practice for the quality training of dentistry students, from the 4th semester of the course, under the supervision of professors and has ability to serve up to 120 patients simultaneously. The article "Plasma Renin in Women Using and not Combined Oral Contraceptive", by the recently titled doctor in Medicine and Human Health, from the Stricto Sensu postgraduate program at Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública, Sidney de Souza Oliveira, was the big winner for the most cited article in 2022, among publications in the area. The award ceremony took place on September 29th, at the 78th Brazilian Congress of Cardiology, held in Rio Grande do Sul. Sidney's work was recognized as the most cited original article by the International Journal of Cardiovascular Sciences. During his PhD in Medicine and Human Health, the academic advisor was Dr. Ana Marice Ladeia and Dr. Jefferson Petto was his co-supervisor.

Scientific article produced by a Medicine and Human Health academic is awarded as the most cited in 2022

Students Marllus Santos and João Lucas Campos had their academic work awarded at the 78th Brazilian Congress of Cardiology, which took place from September 28th to 30th, in Rio Grande do Sul. The Medicine students are part of the Medical Records Research Group. Acute Coronary Syndromes (RESCA). The works “Does Intolerance to Uncertainty Cause Overuse in Cardiology?”, by Marllus Santos, and “The Interference of the Similarity Heuristic in Clinical Reasoning”, authored by João Lucas Campos, took 3rd place in the event's awards. “I believe it is a source of satisfaction for all of us, as School Bahiana, to have our house recognized nationally”, declared the coordinator of RESCA and professor of the Medicine course and the Postgraduate Program in Medicine and Human Health at Bahiana, Dr. Luís Cláudio Correia.

Works are part of the RESCA research group.
