A few meters from the Campus Brotas, the General Coordinator is located in a central neighborhood of the city. The building houses the institution's Rectory, as well as our Management and Quality Center (NGQ) and our Planning Advisory Board (ASPLAN).&nbsp; In the Coordination's gardens, there is a bronze statue of the late Professor Humberto de Castro Lima, former general coordinator of the FBDC. It is an environment surrounded by nature and historical landmarks of our academic community. Here, our students can contact the Institutional Academic Relationship and Internationalization Center (REAI) and the Research Ethics Committee (CEP). The General Coordination also includes the Distance Learning Nucleus (NEAD), the Educational Technologies Development Center (CEDETE), the Communication and Marketing Nucleus (NUCOM), the Evaluation Committee (CPA) and the Department of Infrastructure (DEPIN).
 In this building are also located the Commercial and People Development, Administrative and Financial, Legal, Communication and Marketing, Institutional Development and Social Impact Business coordinations.

General Coordination

With three pavilions and a modern structure, this campus is located in a central neighborhood of the Bahian capital. Are 9 laboratories, 23 rooms of class e 2 auditoriums to provide the ideal environment for academic and social development. Also on Campus Brotas, students, teachers, employees and the external public have access to a complete library with comfortable facilities and an up-to-date collection. Surrounded by a vast green area, this campus has 20 laboratories, 37 classrooms e 3 auditoriums. The library is also open to the outside community, with comfortable spaces for reading, studying and socializing. The environment has a modern and complete infrastructure, ample parking and social center with cafeteria. The Cabula Campus is also home to the Dental Center of Bahiana, where the Teaching-Care Outpatient Clinic is located, a field of practice for the quality training of dentistry students, from the 4th semester of the course, under the supervision of professors and has ability to serve up to 120 patients simultaneously. “Living well and the power of relationships”. This was the theme of the welcome lecture to the New Bahiana, held on July 29, in a virtual way, with live broadcast on the institution's official channel, on <a style="color: #007bff; text-decoration: underline;" href="https://youtu.be/kqXXMk_G0To" target="_blank" rel="noopener">YouTube</a>. The opening of the event was attended by the coordinator of People Development at Bahiana, Luiza Ribeiro, from the manager of the Psychopedagogical Care Center (NAPP), Angélica Mendes, and from the coordinator of the Common Core – a sector that encompasses all the introductory components of health courses – Prof. Luciana Oliveira. The meeting also marked the 70th anniversary of the Bahiana and winning 1st place, for the fourth time in a row, of the Great Place to Work Award, which recognizes the best institutions to work for in Bahia. In the audience, the dean of the Bahiana, Dr. Maria Luisa Carvalho Soliani, and the coordinators of all undergraduate courses at Bahiana, professionals from NAPP and NUSP – Academic and Pedagogical Supervision Nucleus, as well as professors and collaborators from other areas of the institution. Presented by Carolina Barreto, founding partner of the NGO Pontos Diverse and professor at the Núcleo Comum da Bahiana, the lecture was about the importance of interpersonal relationships and about the good living being the life of the human being in harmony with himself and with other beings, with the community and with nature. “We made an epistemological error. We learned that we are at the center and that nature is there to serve our needs”, pointed out Carolina, noting that people are part of nature and not apart from it. In her speech, she indicated as reading the book “Ideias para Adiar o Fim do Mundo”, by Aílton Krenak, and “Bem Viver”, by Teko Porã.
