A few meters from the Campus Brotas, the General Coordinator is located in a central neighborhood of the city. The building houses the institution's Rectory, as well as our Management and Quality Center (NGQ) and our Planning Advisory Board (ASPLAN).&nbsp; In the Coordination's gardens, there is a bronze statue of the late Professor Humberto de Castro Lima, former general coordinator of the FBDC. It is an environment surrounded by nature and historical landmarks of our academic community. Here, our students can contact the Institutional Academic Relationship and Internationalization Center (REAI) and the Research Ethics Committee (CEP). The General Coordination also includes the Distance Learning Nucleus (NEAD), the Educational Technologies Development Center (CEDETE), the Communication and Marketing Nucleus (NUCOM), the Evaluation Committee (CPA) and the Department of Infrastructure (DEPIN).
 In this building are also located the Commercial and People Development, Administrative and Financial, Legal, Communication and Marketing, Institutional Development and Social Impact Business coordinations.

Surrounded by a vast green area, this campus has 20 laboratories, 37 classrooms e 3 auditoriums. The library is also open to the outside community, with comfortable spaces for reading, studying and socializing. The environment has a modern and complete infrastructure, ample parking and social center with cafeteria. The Cabula Campus is also home to the Dental Center of Bahiana, where the Teaching-Care Outpatient Clinic is located, a field of practice for the quality training of dentistry students, from the 4th semester of the course, under the supervision of professors and has ability to serve up to 120 patients simultaneously. In addition to students, those interested and admirers of the creator of the therapeutic technique known internationally as Traditional Ayurvedic Massage, Ayurvedic Yoga Massage (YMA) or simply the Kusum Modak method were present. The opening ceremony was attended by the Dean of Extension at Bahiana, Prof. Carolina Pedroza, the course coordinator, Prof. Regina Puja Kinzer, and members of the newly opened Modak Institut (SP). "A Bahiana innovates in health care, understanding this care in an integral way. That's why we opened the doors to receive master Kusum Modak", said Pedrosa. In his lecture, Modak, who is now 84 years old, narrated his journey around therapeutic care, which began in 1983, when he presented the world with an exclusive method, a combination of ancient sciences of Indian culture: Yoga and massage. indian traditional. About the power of traditional Indian massage, the master emphasized: "the most important part of our body is our hands. With them, we can do everything!". The program also brought the Indian professor Dr. Sonali Shinde, who spoke about the importance of digestion, creativity and rest from an ayurveda perspective. Complementing the morning of lectures, Yoga teacher Renata Ventura presented the history of this millennial Indian method and its relationship with Ayurveda.

Bahiana receives Indian master Kusum Modak

The Stricto Sensu Graduate Program at Bahiana had a whole day of lectures and debates, in order to mark the beginning of the academic semester 2023.1. The activities took place remotely, on February 10, with a live broadcast on the Zoom platform. The welcoming words were given by the dean of Research, Innovation and Stricto Sensu Graduate Studies, prof. Atson Souza Fernandes. "It is important to highlight that we, masters and doctors, according to the survey carried out by the OECD, represent less than 1% of the Brazilian population. This places us not only in a differentiated place in society, but also in the leading role of scientific development and improvement in the quality of life of our country's population", highlighted prof. Atson Souza Fernandes. The morning program had prof. doctor Michel Jean Marie Thiollent, who presented the lecture "Research-Action in Health: possible dialogues". Author of several books on the action-research method, Thiollent was open to questions from professors, masters and doctoral students who participated in the meeting. In the afternoon, the theme "Who is afraid of academic writing?" was presented by guest professor Dr. Priscila Tamis, also author of books such as "ESAIOS DE UM BELO OUTBREAK: what do the memories, health and experiences of a body tell?" and "Health and Subjectivity in Urban Mobility. Cartographic Experience of an (Im)Possible City".

The academic semester of stricto sensu postgraduate courses at Bahiana began on 15/07, with an inaugural class on the theme "Pandemic: challenges and achievements of communication in health", with the doctor and professor of Bahiana Robson Reis and mediation by the coordinator of the Professional Master's Degree in Psychology and Health Interventions, Dr. Monica Daltro. The meeting was held online via the Zoom platform. The opening words were given by the Dean of Research, Innovation and Stricto Sensu Graduate Studies, Dr. Atson Fernandes. Present were the vice-rector of the Bahiana, professor Dr. Humberto Castro Lima Filho, coordinators, professors and students of the master's and doctoral programs, as well as coordinators and managers of the institution's internal sectors. As an opening to the debate, Dr. Mônica Daltro brought up the importance of communication as a strategy to improve health. In turn, the speaker shared with those present his experience in relation to mass media during the pandemic, encouraging health professionals to use the press, classes, lectures and meetings to train multiplier agents in health promotion, always reflecting information that the scientific evidence indicates.
