Multiprofessional Residency in Individual and Family Clinic

The Multiprofessional Residency in Individual and Family Clinic is a partnership between the Bahiana, the Hólon Society and the Bahia State Health Department. It takes place at the Vida Plena Community Complex, in the Pau da Lima neighborhood. The program integrates several teaching, research and extension projects, involving students, undergraduate and graduate professors and the community. Its mission is to encourage the development of human potential, carrying out activities for individuals, families, groups and communities. Its working matrix emphasizes the interdisciplinarity of professional actions, the multidimensionality of health problems and the intersectoriality of actions. The program has a total workload of 5.760 hours, for a period of two years, with a weekly workload of 60 hours. It requires exclusive dedication and offers six annual vacancies, covering the following health professional categories: two vacancies for nurses, two for psychologists and two for physiotherapists.



Uniprofessional Residency in Maxillofacial Surgery and Traumatology

The Uniprofessional Residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Traumatology consists of a partnership with Bahiana with the Department of Health of the State of Bahia. It is part of the Roberto Santos General Hospital and the State General Hospital, providing a service that provides consultations, performs surgeries and urgent and emergency care, in addition to monitoring patients admitted to these hospitals, filling an important social gap in maxillofacial health. Its objective is to provide training in maxillofacial surgery and traumatology to carry out all the activities developed by the specialty. This program has a total workload of 7.960 hours, for a period of three years, with a weekly workload of 60 hours. It requires exclusive dedication and offers two annual vacancies for dentists.



Multiprofessional Residency in Health Care for the Elderly

The Multiprofessional Residency in Health Care for the Elderly is offered in partnership between the Bahiana and the Sister Dulce Social Works. It aims to specialize health professionals in the care of the elderly, with theoretical and practical development and qualified training for health care, based on humanistic and SUS principles, adding knowledge, skills and attitudes to be used in promotion, protection and health recovery. This program has a total workload of 5.760 hours, for a period of two years, with a weekly workload of 60 hours. It requires exclusive dedication and offers six places per year, distributed among the following health professional categories: two places for nurses, two for psychologists and two for physiotherapists.



Residency Program in Family and Community Medicine (PRMFC)

Family and Community Medicine is the medical specialty that encompasses the provision of personalized and continuous care to individuals and families in a given population, regardless of age, gender or health problem. (SESu – Mec, 2015).

Objectives
• Train Family and Community doctors, with people and their families as the center of care.
• Act in a qualified manner, focused on the comprehensive care of people, families and
communities in which they are registered.
• Solve as many problems as possible, with quality, through an integrated, continuous practice, in a multidisciplinary team, preferably inserted in the communities.
• Be part of permanent health education processes in their territory. (SESu – Mec, 2015).
