Prosef Medicine

The Formative Selection Process (Prosef) is a method of entry into Medicine created by the institution itself. Bahiana and which became a national benchmark for proposing a more reflective and humanized approach to selection. 

Held since 2009, the process was temporarily suspended during the Covid-19 pandemic and now returns for the 2027.1 intake, reaffirming the institution's commitment to medical training aligned with care, ethics, and social responsibility. More than an evaluation process, Prosef invites candidates to reflect on the challenges in the health field and on the role of the physician in building a more just and humane society, in an experience that also considers the physical and emotional well-being of the participants.
