Art, culture, handicraft and gastronomy were the components that fostered the artistic and gastronomic exchange of Tenda Cultural, on the second day of the XVII Scientific and Cultural Exhibition (MCC) of the Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública, held on October 6th, in the green area of the Academic Unit of Cabula.

During the program, the stage was available to the entire community of Bahiana, and the tent received several cultural interventions, moving between music, poetry, artistic presentations, in addition to the exhibition and sale of handcraft and gastronomic products produced by employees and students of the School.

The manager of the Institutional Relationship Nucleus of Bahiana (Relaci) and responsible for the Cultural Tent, Fabiana Perin, explains that "the idea is to promote a space that can be occupied, both by students and by professors and employees, being only necessary to participate in a previous selection". She explains that a public notice was published where the specific requirements for participation were defined.

Jaile Leite, 5th semester student of the Dentistry course, congratulated the initiative of Bahiana. “I think it's really cool to include entertainment activities at MMC, as it deviates from the traditional way of having only panels, not that I don't think it's cool, the panels (laughs). I loved the Cultural Tent”.

This year, the tent had the special participation of visual artist and social activist Talitha Andrade, who, in addition to exhibiting her t-shirt collection entitled “Luto” – from the verbo Luta – carried out an artistic intervention designing a panel within the perspective of her LUTO series. .

For the fabric accessories exhibitor, Nena Seixas, the show this year had a “new face”. “I had already participated in the MCC in previous years, but, last year, I couldn't be present and, for me, the event this year has a new look, I liked it a lot! The integration between students is very nice, combining art, music and bringing a craft fair aimed at the young public (which is the majority at the university) closed with a golden key”, he said.
