Aiming to encourage the practice of physical activity and motivate employees and the academic community of Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública to perform bodily exercises that provide a feeling of well-being and health promotion, the Physical Education course took extreme sports to another edition of the Scientific and Cultural Exhibition of Bahiana (MCC), held on October 5th and 6th, at the Cabula Academic Unit.

During the program, students and employees could practice activities on the climbing wall, abseiling and slackline, supervised and guided by a group of teachers and students from the School's Physical Education course. According to professor Paulo Rodrigo Aristides, the inclusion of the sports tent in the program was a request from the students themselves. "The sports tent was a demand requested by the students themselves, students of the School Bahiana, taking into account that they had already experienced, in the previous year, radical and non-radical sports activities, so we decided to meet this request and encourage the practice of physical activity”.

For student Dayse Maia, a student of the Physical Education course, the tent is essential to promote integration, fun and exchange among students, in addition to giving visibility to the course that is recent at the School. For her, activities like this are of paramount importance to emphasize the importance of performing physical activities to lead a healthier life. "It is very important for our course to participate in actions like this, for reasons of visibility and to disseminate information about the importance of physical exercise for a healthy quality of life, in addition to informing students about the consequences of a sedentary lifestyle".
