Medical students are awarded at the XXI North-Northeast Day of Neurology

Students are part of the Academic League of Applied Neurosciences.

From November 6th to 8th, 2013, the XXI North-Northeast Day of Neurology was held at the Hotel Pestana in Salvador, with the intense participation of the Academic League of Applied Neurosciences (LANA). Among the studies presented, it won the Prof. Doctor Vicente Leilão, as the best poster entitled "Clinical-epidemiological profile of neuroschistosomiasis in the state of Bahia", authored by medical student Rodrigo Matos Amaral, under the supervision of Dr. Antônio de Souza Andrade Filho.

Thiago Herbert, also a medical student, was recognized with the Best Presentation in Free Oral Theme at the XNUMXst Neuroscience Leagues Meeting that took place on the journey, with the work "Anti-N-Methyl-D-Aspartate Receptor Encephalitis: clinical analysis of a series of pediatric cases", under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Humberto de Castro Lima Filho.

LANA sent 12 papers to the congress, all presented and produced by students from the Bahiana, highly praised by the examining board, which included such figures as Dr. Jamary Oliveira and Dr. Elza Dias Tosta da Silva, president of the Brazilian Academy of Neurology.
