In this way, the Bahiana once again innovates, adopting videoconferencing as a classroom instrument, via the Optportals Sage system, which allows the processing of images in 4K ultra definition (image optimization four times greater than that of full-HD). The benefits of this technology could be experienced, on October 31, by the students of the Physiotherapy course who attended, in the videoconference room of the Center for the Development of Educational Technologies (CEDETE), the class of Radiological Chest Image, taught by Prof.ª Patrícia Alcântara, in real time, directly from Hospital Santa Izabel.

According to Prof. Patrícia Alcântara, this type of class "is the long-awaited exchange of experiences. The class was broadcast from the Santa Izabel Hospital auditorium, where professors and students from the last semester of Physiotherapy were also present. Since the beginning of the year, Bahiana received, through a public notice from the National Research Network, linked to the Ministry of Science and Technology, the concession to use the Optportals Sage System. Among the criteria for release, the candidate institutions should present a project for the best use of the technology.
