8st Pedagogical Forum of Bahiana

Active methodology, evaluation and research. With this focus, about 230 professors from the seven courses of the Bahiana were gathered on August 10th and 11th during the VIII Pedagogical Forum of Bahiana. The first day consisted of six workshops with the themes: Research and Course Conclusion Work; The role of the tutor; Assessment in Problem-Based Learning – ABP; The research teacher; Assessment construction: OSCE and attitudinal assessment of internship practices. The methodology used in these workshops was based on one of the forms of active methodology, Problem Based Learning, PBL, with a methodological adjustment.

The second day of the Forum was marked with the special participation of Dr. Miltom Arruda and Dr. Patrícia Tempski, both members of the USP faculty who participated, along with the director of Bahiana, Prof. Dr. Maria Luisa Soliani and Prof. Luiza Ribeiro, coordinator of People Development at the institution, for a chat about research and the role of the guiding professor, evaluation and the use of active teaching methodologies.

As it could not fail to happen, the pedagogical meeting included the traditional visit of Borboleguim. Emblematic figure that represents the power of transformation and adaptation of the teacher in the exercise of their function. "A creation like this could only come out of Bahiana, with minds like Maria Luisa and Luiza Ribeiro, when they bring inspiring playfulness and creativity to discuss the teaching process", declared Dr. Patrícia Tempski. "Bahiana has a characteristic of investing in teaching. We have traveled a lot in Brazil and we haven't seen a great participation of professors in events like this", says Miltom Arruda. This year, 230 professors participated, a record number of all editions.

In the end, the winning group of the Borboleguim de Ouro 2012 trophy was elected, the professors participating in the Active Methodology workshop, with the theme: The role of the tutor, elaborated by the Nursing course, which included the participation of professors from all courses . The 60th anniversary of the Bahiana, with an artistic and playful presentation rescuing all the previous editions of the Pedagogical Forum, started in 2001, in the former Hotel da Bahia.
