The master's students of the Professional Postgraduate Program in Psychology and Health Interventions of Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública Fernanda Portugal, Amanda Maia, and Catarina Pina participated in the 10th Bahia Forum on Hospital Psychology, where they presented research focused on experiences and challenges in the field of Hospital Psychology. Their work was supervised by Professor Maria Constança Velloso Cajado.

Fernanda Portugal presented the study “Singularities on death and life: how do chronic kidney patients and healthcare professionals cope?”, while Amanda Maia discussed the topic “Fragmented body and vital support: subjective impact of treatment in Nephrology”. Catarina Pina brought to the event the research “Reverberations of subjective experiences in the territories of Intensive Care Units in Salvador-BA”, expanding the debate on the emotional and subjective impacts in high-complexity hospital contexts.

The researchers' participation highlighted the integration between scientific research, clinical practice, and health education, emphasizing the relevance of Hospital Psychology in listening to and caring for individuals affected by illness, chronicity, and mortality. The presentations also reinforced the importance of academic production focused on humanizing care and understanding subjective experiences in the hospital environment.
