Bahiana attends international symposium on narratives, gender and social practices in Minas Gerais

Representatives from the Professional Master's Program in Psychology and Health Interventions participated in discussions about loneliness, belonging, and mental health in the academic environment during an event promoted by PUC Minas.

The coordinator of the Professional Master's Program in Psychology and Health Interventions, Dr. Mônica Daltro, and the program's professor, Luiz Paulo Oliveira, represented the institution at the IV International Symposium on Narratives, Gender & Politics and Colloquium of the Working Group on Daily Life and Social Practices, which took place from May 19 to 22, 2026, at the Lourdes Campus of PUC Minas, in Belo Horizonte. The event's organizing team emerged from participation in the Working Group on Daily Life and Social Practices of the National Association for Research and Graduate Studies in Psychology (ANPEPP), composed of... BahianaPUC Minas, USP-RP, UFU, UFSJ and UFAL.

Professor Mônica Daltro participated in the panel "Experiences of Loneliness and Disagreements," where she presented her lecture, in letter format, "Daily Life in Graduate Studies: Experiences of Loneliness, Belonging, and Collaboration." In her speech, the coordinator addressed loneliness from the supervisor's point of view. "The first time I was overcome by a devouring loneliness, it was during my first defense as a supervisor. That's when I understood what it means to be a supervisor... I discovered there... that I was being evaluated on something I didn't write!!! I felt the discord in my heart," said Mônica Daltro in her letter. The panel also included speakers Cássia Beatriz Batista (UFSJ), Lídia Brelaz (UFU), Patrícia Chaves Nascimento Gandra (PUC Minas), and Rosa Gouvêa de Sousa (UFSJ).

It also represented BahianaRoberta Sampaio, a psychology student participating in the Scientific Initiation Program with a scholarship from the Maria Emília Foundation, presented the work "The repercussions of psychotropic drug use among students in the health field".
