The female students of the Physiotherapy course at Bahiana Ana Beatriz P. Lopes Maneira and Rafaella Ghignone Figueiredo Carvalho represented the institution at the III International Congress of Neonatal and Pediatric Physiotherapy, held from April 23 to 26 in Recife, standing out for their scientific participation and student leadership. The event offered a vast program with roundtables, practical workshops, and scientific presentations, covering topics ranging from the most current therapies to issues such as ethics, public policies, and multidisciplinary practice.
Ana Beatriz presented the work “Training and perception of students and health professionals about palliative care: Integrative review” in poster format, while Rafaella gave an oral presentation of the work “Weight gain and exclusive breastfeeding in preterm infants submitted to the second stage of the Kangaroo Method”, being awarded 3rd place in her category, recognition that highlights the relevance and quality of the work developed.
Furthermore, both represented the Academic League of Neonatology and Pediatrics (LANEP) at the Academic Leagues meeting, strengthening the exchange of knowledge and academic experience. This achievement reinforces the excellence of the students' training at the [League/institution name].
