“Be firmly rooted, but be flexible!”; “Take care of what is around you”; “Accept the seasons of life!”. These were some of the motivational phrases on the Tree of Advice, a symbolic element that marked the gathering of the HTLV Center. Bahiana, held on the morning of November 25th, on Campus BrotasWith the theme "To live is to resist and celebrate life," the meeting brought together patients, students, faculty, and healthcare professionals working at CHTLV. The program began with a presentation of... choir sings Bahiana and with words from the students and teachers.
According to Valdemar Viana Neto, a 9th-semester Psychology student, the "Tree of Advice" project brought together four trees. The first speaks of the courage to persevere and teaches that the root does not tremble in storms; it learns from difficult moments, just like patients and students. The second tree reveals the human desire to reach the light, seeing that, little by little, growing is a gesture of humility. The third tree reminds us that no one grows alone. "Care is a web that sustains us, and we need territory, the community, patients, professionals, and students of Medicine, Physiotherapy, Nursing, and Psychology. The fourth tree is a silent message: only those who pause, who try to resonate their thoughts, can truly hear. This year, the 4th ExporressignificArte, an exhibition showcasing artistic and craft works produced by patients of CHTLV, was part of the celebration's program. "The exhibition originated from an initiative by nursing students, aiming to motivate people to explore their art, because HTLV doesn't define them; they are much more than just patients," stated Professor Aidê Nunes. Francisco Daltro Borges, a member of the HTLVida Association, emphasized that the celebration is a moment of expressing love and gratitude. "This is a moment of great happiness for us patients.
