The Neuromuscular Diseases Outpatient Clinic at Bahiana [She] participated in the XXIV International Forum of the Scientific Department of Neuromuscular Diseases of the Brazilian Academy of Neurology (ABN), held on November 7th and 8th in Brasília. The event, which brought together more than 170 national and international specialists, has represented, for over 30 years, an important space for scientific updating, exchange of experiences, and strengthening of multidisciplinary practice. The Neuromuscular Diseases Outpatient Clinic at BahianaThe group, composed of neurologists, physiotherapists, speech therapists, and medical students, was present with the works "Analysis of the epidemiological profile of patients treated at a neuromuscular diseases outpatient clinic in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil"; "Validation of the Portuguese-translated EK2 in patients with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and Spinal Muscular Atrophy"; and "Motor and Respiratory Function Profile in Individuals with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy," in oral presentation format.

The outpatient clinic also had the following works selected: "National Network for Rare Diseases – Sociodemographic and Clinical Profile of Patients with Myasthenia Gravis Treated in a Specialized Care Service in Salvador-BA" and "Translation, Cross-Cultural Adaptation and Validation into Brazilian Portuguese of the EGEN Classification Scale Version 2 (EK2) in Patients with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and Spinal Muscular Atrophy," in e-poster format. "Our scientific production reaffirms our commitment to academic training, research, and excellence in the care of our patients with neuromuscular diseases," emphasized Dr. Marcela Costa.
