Bahiana Promotes awareness campaign on World Stroke Day

The initiative brought together students and teachers in educational activities for health prevention and promotion in different healthcare settings.

In commemoration of World Stroke Day, celebrated on October 29th, the Behavior and Neurofunctional Rehabilitation Research Group, led by Professor and researcher Elen Beatriz Pinto and linked to the postgraduate program of [Institution Name], [Institution Name]. Bahiana, carried out a series of educational activities focused on prevention and health promotion.

The activities took place in different care settings, including the Physiotherapy Clinic of BahianaThe initiative involved the Physiotherapy Clinic of the State University of Bahia (UNEB) and the Open University for the Elderly (UATI), also linked to UNEB. The goal was to provide accessible information to the community about risk factors, warning signs, and ways to prevent stroke.

The program included the participation of students from Bahiana and UNEB, strengthening academic integration and health education. The activities received support from professors Marina Mahhoul and Adriana Campos, members of the research group who contributed to the development of educational and awareness-raising actions.
