Bahiana is present at the Congress of the Americas on International Education.

The International Relations Manager represented the institution at an event promoted by the Inter-American University Organization (OUI), held in Costa Rica.

A Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública was represented by the professor and manager of the Institutional Relations and Internationalization Center of Bahiana (REAI), Maria Antonieta Araújo, at the Congress of the Americas on International Education (CAEI), promoted by the Inter-American University Organization (OUI). The event took place from October 15 to 17 in San José, Costa Rica.

During the meeting, experts, researchers, and managers from various institutions across the Americas gathered to discuss trends and challenges in the internationalization of higher education, sharing experiences and strategies aimed at strengthening academic cooperation between countries.

"Participation in the Congress officially marked the entry of Bahiana at the Inter-American University Organization (OUI), strengthening its institutional identity and expanding connections. During the event, existing partnerships were renewed and new collaborations were initiated with institutions from the Czech Republic, Colombia, Mexico, and Costa Rica,” said the manager. According to her, the experience also allowed them to learn about international teaching practices, confirming that the Bahiana It is already making progress in several areas. Furthermore, membership in the OUI will open up opportunities for free training for teachers, especially in intercultural skills.
