The Tutorial Education Program (PET) of the Biomedicine course at Bahiana On October 30th, another edition of Ciência com Acarajé was held at the Cabula Campus. With the theme "Entrepreneurship with Awareness in the Healthcare Market," the event brought together students and professionals in the field for a discussion about the challenges and opportunities of ethical and sustainable entrepreneurship in the healthcare sector.

Coordinated by Professor Gabriel Andrade Nonato Queiroz, tutor of the PET Biomedicine program, the meeting featured lectures that connected scientific knowledge to the social context, encouraging a broader view of the role of the biomedical professional. The program included presentations by Dr. Thiago Alcântara, who shared his journey "From Biomedical Scientist to Entrepreneur," and Dr. Indira Ayama, who discussed "Management, positioning, and authority: the new profile of the entrepreneurial biomedical scientist."

According to Professor Gabriel Queiroz, the discussion is fundamental for the future of the profession. “Discussing the theme of 'Entrepreneurship with Conscience in the Healthcare Market' is essential to broaden the vision of students and biomedical professionals regarding their social role and their possibilities for action. More than just starting businesses, it's about thinking about ethical, sustainable, and innovative solutions that strengthen the profession and contribute to a fairer and more responsible healthcare system,” stated Queiroz. The event, which had a solidarity entrance fee of 1kg of food or 400g of whole powdered milk, to be donated to charitable institutions, concluded with a moment of socialization marked by the traditional distribution of acarajés, symbolizing the integration between science, culture, and community, the essence of the 'Science with Acarajé' project.
