Students and professors of the Psychology course at Bahiana They met on October 29th at the Campus. Brotas, to participate in the XVI Seminar on Preparation for Internship and Work (SEPET) and the VI Psychology Internship Conference. The events provided a space for exchanging experiences, learning, and reflecting on the challenges and possibilities of professional practice. This initiative, already well-established at the institution, has contributed to strengthening academic training and broadening students' perspectives on the practice of psychology in different contexts.
Specifically aimed at students in their 7th to 10th semesters, the meetings sought to prepare students entering specific internships and guide those nearing graduation regarding the demands and opportunities of the working world. Through lectures, discussion groups, and presentations of supervised practices, participants were able to learn about different work contexts and discuss current topics in the profession.
Under the coordination of professors Ana Aparecida Nascimento Martinelli Braga, Sylvia Barreto, and Verena Souza Souto, the event reinforced the commitment of Bahiana With an ethical, critical, and humanized approach, connected to social demands and the reality of health services. For Professor Ana Aparecida, SEPET and the Conference are fundamental spaces for dialogue and professional growth. “This event is an opportunity to talk a little more about psychology, its diversities, challenges, and opportunities in contemporary times. Thus, we discuss internship and job possibilities, taking into account an ethical and humanized approach,” emphasized the professor, who is also the internship coordinator for the institution's Psychology course.
