Athletic Bahiana of Medicine wins the seventh Intermed 2025 championship

A Athletic Bahiana of Medicine won the seventh overall championship of Intermed Bahia 2025, the main sports tournament among medical programs in the state. The event was held from October 6th to 11th at the Banco do Brasil Athletic Association (AABB) in Salvador. During the six days of competition, students from Bahiana They participated in competitions in basketball, volleyball, handball, futsal, swimming, table tennis, jiu-jitsu, chess and poker, as well as artistic performances by drummers and cheerleading.

For Victória Benevides, president of the Athletics Club and a sixth-semester medical student, the result is the fruit of collective planning and dedication. "This victory was achieved thanks to our commitment and organization, without a doubt. Our work, as lighthearted and fun as it may be at times, is taken very seriously throughout the year," said the student. According to her, goals are set, planning is developed with many variables, and, above all, it is executed by people who love the Athletics movement and what it represents. "The strength, grit, and determination of each athlete symbolize winning another title, and without them, none of this would be possible," Victória emphasized.

The vice-president of Atlética, Pedro Henrique Alcântara, also a 6th semester student, highlighted the role of the association in the integration between students: “The Bahiana lives in a unique context in Salvador. Here, people join the Atlética team when they still dream of passing the university entrance exam. The Serpent Mother welcomes them from the very beginning, and as the students grow, they form that sea of ​​​​people we see every year in the stands at Intermed.
