XV Researchers Forum highlights advances in postgraduate studies and recognizes scientific excellence in Bahiana

The event celebrated the institution's scientific production with the presence of professors, researchers, students from postgraduate programs and guests.

"This is an event that is already consolidated in our scientific community and that has truly registered the mark of our institution with this social commitment, because investing in science, innovation and technology for Bahiana "It is, above all, a social commitment," stated the Pro-Rector of Research, Innovation and Graduate Studies, Prof. Dr. Atson Fernandes, at the opening of the XV Forum of Researchers of Bahiana which took place on the morning of October 10th at the Cabula Campus, bringing together professors, researchers, students from graduate programs and guests. Present at the opening table were the rector of Bahiana Dr. Maria Luisa Carvalho Soliani, the director of FAPESB and professor in the Master's Program in Health Technology, Prof. Dr. Handerson Leite, and the coordinators of the institution's master's and doctoral programs.

In her opening speech, Dr. Maria Luisa commented on the position of the Bahiana The company was ranked the 6th best company to work for in Brazil, according to the GPTW National Ranking 2025, whose results were announced on October 8th. "This is a place where people enjoy working and feel good. This, obviously, produces incredible results because it's a way we relate to each other, that makes us productive, innovative, where we are authors of many things, not just scientific articles, but where my ideas, our ideas proliferate, grow, and are limitless. Here we take care of each other, we listen to each other. It's a special place!", declared Soliani. The meeting opened with a welcome coffee and was followed by a retrospective video of the event's 15 editions, as well as a video tribute to the centenary of Prof. Dr. Humberto de Castro Lima.

The program also included the panel “Postgraduate Studies Bahiana and the new perspectives of the PNPG/CAPES” which discussed the results of the 2021–2024 four-year period and the new directions of postgraduate studies in the country. The panel included presentations by Prof. Dr. Atson Fernandes and Prof. Dr. Diego Menezes, president of ABIPTI and superintendent of Institutional Relations of Bahiana, with mediation by Professor Dr. Cristiane Dias, manager of the Stricto Sensu Postgraduate Program. During the event, the book "Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Health: Science & Market" (3rd edition), a publication supported by the Maria Emília Foundation and resulting from the III ENEIS, was also launched. The work reaffirms the commitment of Bahiana in integrating scientific knowledge with innovative practices aimed at developing the health sector. The winners were honored:
