On September 22nd, Bahiana, through committee Bahiana Green, will host the 2nd annual Banho de Matinha (Forest Bath) at the Cabula Campus. The activity marks the arrival of spring and invites the academic community to experience shinrin-yoku, or "forest bathing," a Japanese practice that promotes physical and mental well-being through sensory immersion in nature.

The program includes two shifts: morning and afternoon. In the morning, groups will participate in the experiences between 9:30 and 10:00 am, followed by a discussion group, where juices and fruit will be served. In the afternoon, activities will take place between 3:15 and 4:00 pm, also concluding with a discussion group and fellowship. Each group will have limited spaces, divided equally between students and staff.

The initiative aims to reinforce the institution's commitment to promoting practices that integrate health, well-being, and sustainability, encouraging its community to reconnect with nature and celebrate the arrival of the flowering season in a space for coexistence and collective care. Registration can be completed by link.
