Bahiana announces the results of the Selection Process for the Health Innovation Incubation Program

Six proposals were approved, with support from the Maria Emília Foundation, to transform innovative ideas into socially impactful solutions in the health field.

A Bahiana announced the results of the Selection Process for the Health Innovation Incubation Program, an initiative supported by the Maria Emília Foundation that aims to stimulate entrepreneurship and foster innovative solutions capable of generating a positive impact on society. The Program supports projects in the process of improving their minimum viable product, enabling them to reach the final version of the solution and be offered as sustainable businesses. The selection was conducted through a public notice, and given the high potential of the submitted proposals, the Maria Emília Foundation expanded the number of supported initiatives from five to six.

The approved proposals, in order of classification, were:

· 1st place – ReHabRaras: Collaborative Rehabilitation Network for People with Rare Diseases;

· 2st place – CONNECTS: Clinical connection of Sleep Biomarkers into Structured HL7-FHIR Electronic Health Records;

· 3st place – Black Atlas of Dermatology;

· 4st place – Digital Indigenous Health Project: Data Systematization Platform for DSEI Professionals;

· 5st place – LIS CONTROL: Mobile Application as a Technological Intervention for Education and Control of Syphilis in Primary Health Care;

· 6st place – Mobile FuncionalPro: Application for Functional Tests – from Education to Clinical Practice.

For Thamile Accioly, Executive Director of the Maria Emília Foundation, the increased support reinforces the institution's commitment: "For the Maria Emília Foundation, it is a source of pride to support initiatives that foster innovation and entrepreneurship in healthcare. The quality and transformative potential of the proposals presented motivated us to expand support to six projects, reaffirming our commitment to investing in solutions with transformative potential and sustainable solutions for society." The Provost of Research, Innovation, and Graduate Studies at BahianaProfessor Atson Fernandes highlighted the Program's impact on the academic community. "The Incubation Program demonstrates the entrepreneurial potential of our community by proposing solutions that combine science, technology, and social impact. This initiative is essential to consolidate our institution's mission of training professionals who innovate and transform society," stated the Provost.
