Bahiana is present at the XII Encuentro Latinoamericano de Académicos

The coordinator of the Physiotherapy course at Bahiana, Professor Luciana Bilitário, was present, representing the institution at the XII Latin American Meeting of Academics (ELA), held on August 6 and 7, 2025, in Chile. The event, promoted by the Regional Committee of the Latin American Center for the Development of Physiotherapy and Kinesiology (CLADEFK), was held at the University of La Frontera, in Temuco, bringing together professors, researchers and administrators of Physiotherapy courses from all over Latin America.

With the theme "Innovation and Technology: Transforming Education in Physiotherapy and KinesiologyThe program included themed panels, workshops, lectures, and scientific paper presentations, which encouraged the exchange of experiences and the collective development of physical therapy education in the region. In addition to participating in the CLADEFK panel discussions, Professor Luciana Bilitário also acted as an evaluator of the scientific papers presented during the meeting.

The teacher's participation reaffirms the commitment of Bahiana with internationalization and inclusion in strategic spaces for academic discussion. According to Bilitário, "the experience brought personal and professional learnings that will be shared and disseminated in Brazil, also marking the return of the Brazilian presence at ELA," which also included the participation of Professor Carla Oda of the University of São Paulo (USP). Both professors are members of CLADEFK, the Latin American academic arm of the World Physical Therapy Organization.
