Bahiana partners with INPI and WIPO to offer Intellectual Property courses

The General Distance Learning Intellectual Property Course will be recognized as an optional subject in the Stricto Sensu Postgraduate Program.

A Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública, through a strategic partnership with the National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI) and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), it established an official consortium for the recognition of the General Distance Learning Course on Intellectual Property – DL 101 PBR as an optional subject in the Stricto Sensu Postgraduate Programs of Bahiana. Places are limited and, to register, you must register with the WIPO User Center, using the website.

Upon completion of the course, students must submit their certificate to the Stricto Sensu Graduate Program Office, thereby entitling them to two (02) optional credits on their academic record. The Intellectual Property course represents a strategic advantage for students' academic and scientific careers, enabling them to understand the mechanisms for protecting technologies, creations, and innovations; strengthen the legal security of their research projects; enhance their readiness for publications, collaborations with companies, and fundraising; and align themselves with best practices in innovation and knowledge transfer. The course is free, fully online, with excellent teaching content and a certificate issued by the INPI and WIPO – national and international institutions of reference.

Registration and course and exam periods:

Class 1
Registration period: July 8th to July 27th.
Course: July 29th to September 26th.
Next exam: September 21st to September 23rd.

Class 2
Registration period: September 30th to October 12th.
Course: October 14th to December 12th.
Next exam: December 7th to December 9th.


Registration must be done by website.
