The Medicine course held, last Saturday (14/06), another edition of the Gincana da Bahiana (Ginbah), promoting the teaching of Human Morphology and First Aid through fun and dynamic activities. The competition took place on the Cabula Campus and included first-semester students from the Magnatas (Blue), Sanguinários (Red), Linfetinhos (Green), and Cirrhóticos (Yellow) teams. Students from other medical school semesters also participated as monitors.
The contents are divided into the treasure hunt, circuit, Scape room, spot the difference, ginbalde, School tests Bahiana of Fine Arts and Ginbah Solidária. This last activity collects non-perishable food and personal hygiene items from students for a donation to the São Gabriel shelter, which this year was held last Monday (June 16th). Participating in the scavenger hunt were 150 students, members of the competing teams, as well as 95 tutors from other semesters of the Medical course and 8 professors. For student Gabriel Brito Fernandes, the scavenger hunt promotes unity among students. "It's something different from our academic curriculum, but it definitely trains us in communication, teamwork, and unity. I found it very positive."
Diogo Burlacchini Guanaes Gomes, a third-semester student, recognizes the event as a very enriching experience, continuing to participate in Ginbah, now as a monitor. "It requires a huge commitment; it's a great opportunity for intellectual growth, because we have to reinforce the content to be able to evaluate the students. These extracurricular activities we do are all extremely enriching, both for our curriculum and for us as individuals. I think it's very important to have a monitor right at the beginning of the course."
