The Medical School holds another day of oral presentations of TCCs

“Today is a time of joy, emotion, and celebration. A rite of passage!” With these words, Medicine professor Juarez Pereira Dias welcomed the students who participated in the oral presentation of their Final Project and their families, on the morning of last Saturday (June 14th), at the Campus Brotas. Also at the opening of the program, the professor presented the final projects from previous years that were highlighted at scientific and academic events and others published in impactful scientific journals.

Throughout the morning, 63 papers were presented, which were evaluated by approximately 20 of the institution's professors. The goal of the initiative, which is optional for students, is to foster scientific research in undergraduate programs, giving it due visibility, and allowing students to celebrate with their loved ones.

“The final project makes the dream a reality. Being here today is the realization of a global dream, because it's not just my dream, but also my family's. I'm from the countryside, and my father arrived here at 6 a.m. to be able to participate. It's exciting. I was more nervous at home than here, because Bahiana It's our home, so here we have more comfort for this type of activity", said medical student Amanda Santos Moreira, who presented the work "Effect of Multidisciplinary Treatment on Glycemic, Blood Pressure and Lipid Control in Women with Obesity", supervised by professor Maria de Lourdes Lima de Souza e Silva
