As part of the Candeal Program, students from the Psychology, Dentistry, Physiotherapy, Medicine, Nursing and Biomedicine courses at Bahiana held an artistic soiree with the Encontro Feliz group on May 29th. The activity, carried out with the support of the Social Service of Bahiana Health, aimed to bring different generations together through playful and affective experiences with a focus on health education.

Intergenerational gatherings aim to strengthen community bonds and promote mutual learning: while young people share new languages and cultural expressions, older people pass on knowledge, memories, and values that enrich students' personal and professional development. This moment of sharing with the community is a tool that fosters empathy, respect, and the collective construction of knowledge.

The Encontro Feliz Group has been operating for over 13 years as a community and bond-building service for seniors, with over 30 participants. Meetings are held weekly on Thursdays, coordinated by Social Services, and encourage social and family interaction, bringing benefits to physical and mental health, as well as fostering a sense of appreciation for seniors.
