The Transgender Person Care Clinic Bahiana completed two years of activities. To celebrate the milestone, a ceremony was held on April 10, in Pavilion III of the Campus Brotas, which was attended by the vice-rector and coordinator of the Medicine course at Bahiana, Dr. Humberto Castro Lima Filho, director of Bahiana Health, Dr. Luiz Ritt, the outpatient clinic coordinator, Dr. Márcia Sampaio, and the unit's psychologist and professor at Bahiana, Dr. Carle Porcino, as well as users, students, teachers and guests.

Over the course of its two years of operation, the clinic has provided 382 consultations. Of these, 38,7% were trans men, 38,7% were trans women, and 22,6% were non-binary. In addition to these data, Dr. Márcia Sampaio explained that the clinic is based on the three pillars of care, teaching, and interdisciplinarity. The unit has the participation of undergraduate students, as part of the outreach activity, as well as teachers and a social worker.

"In the outpatient clinic, I saw the true purpose of Medicine. I consider it a privilege to have been in this outpatient clinic as a student. It is an experience that changed the way I saw medicine, assistance and care", declared Joana Santana, a medical student at Bahiana who interned at the unit. The program included a presentation by artist Dica Rios and a raffle for the book "Eu Nasci Odara", written by the coordinator of the Master's and Doctorate Program in Medicine and Human Health, Dr. Ana Marice Ladeia.
