The Postgraduate Programs in Psychology and Health Interventions and Medicine and Human Health promoted a discussion on the history of humanity, from the first Homo sapiens to the present day, exploring how biological, cultural and economic factors have shaped society, watching the show "Ficções", on March 14, at Teatro Sesc Casa do Comércio. The show is inspired by the book “Sapiens – A Brief History of Humanity”, by historian Yuval Noah Harari, with performance by Vera Holtz, in musical dialogue with Frederico Pupi.

The play is a free adaptation of the work “Sapiens”, directed by Rodrigo Portela. The text addresses the meaning of fiction from different directions, connecting realities created by humanity with the theatrical event itself. The activity, coordinated by Professor Mônica Daltro, aimed to expand the possibilities of critical and historical analysis of reality within the scope of postgraduate studies in health, “Highlighting the power of theater to make people think”, says the professor.

After the show, actors Vera Holtz and Frederico Pupi participated in a conversation circle, discussing ways of living and suffering in contemporary times, enabling participants to promote epistemological debates on intersectionalities in health.
