ReHabRARAS – Collaborative Rehabilitation Network for People with Rare Diseases held, on February 20th, at Campus Brotas, a meeting with the participation of patients with rare diseases and their caregivers, health professionals and undergraduates, researchers, opinion makers, managers and decision makers in health. The event aimed to introduce the ReHabRARAS platform to the community, demonstrating its functionality and prospects in the care of people diagnosed with Rare Diseases.

The ReHabRARAS project is one of those selected for the Pre-Incubation program in Innovation in Health, promoted by Bahiana, in partnership with the Maria Emília Foundation. Coordinated by Professor Adriana Virgínia Barros Faiçal, the project is characterized as a pioneering initiative focused on improving the rehabilitation of people with Rare Diseases (RD), comorbidities that affect 65 people in every 100, requiring specialized and continuous care, in addition to facing historical challenges in access to rehabilitation. The project, aligned with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, uses Design Thinking and Information Technologies to create customized solutions.

The event, also broadcast on YouTube, provided an opportunity for healthcare professionals, patients and caregivers to share their experiences, enriching the discussion and offering a real view of the needs of this community.
