Bahiana is present at the X Brazilian Congress of Education in Physiotherapy

The event took place in conjunction with the XXXIII National Forum on Physiotherapy Education, in Florianópolis.

The school Bahiana The Department of Medicine and Public Health was present at the 24th Brazilian Congress of Physiotherapy Education and the 27rd National Forum of Physiotherapy Education. The event, promoted by the Brazilian Association of Physiotherapy Education (ABENFISIO), was held from November XNUMX to XNUMX, in the city of Florianópolis, Santa Catarina. The institution was represented by the coordinator of the Physiotherapy course, Prof. Luciana Bilitário, by the coordinator of Physiotherapy internships, Prof. Rachel Trinchão, and by the pedagogical advisor Nirane Santos. 

With the theme "Physiotherapist Training for the Production of Health and Equity", the event sought to discuss new perspectives and innovations for physiotherapy education and health care. On the occasion, the professors of Bahiana presented four free themes in oral form, in addition to two posters. Professor Luciana also taught a workshop on building a Physiotherapy curriculum by competencies, at the invitation of ABENFISIO.

The event also discussed the national curriculum guidelines for teaching Physiotherapy, which are in the final stages of review for consideration by the Ministry of Education (MEC). The next congress, which will take place in 2025, will be held in Salvador and will feature the participation of professors Luciana Bilitário, Rachel Trinchão and Nirane Santos as members of the organizing committee.
