A Bahiana was present at the International Forum for Racial Equality and Social Inclusion of Recôncavo, in Cruz das Almas, from November 21 to 23, through the participation of the professor of the Psychology course and the Professional Master's in Psychology and Health Interventions Dr. Carlos Danon. The professor and researcher participated in the Conversation Circle Political Action from the Perspective of Gender, Race and Health, alongside professors from UFBA, UFRB and Fiocruz/RJ.

On that occasion, Danon had the opportunity to present the theme of his doctorate “TRANSGENERALITIES NARRATED IN THE MIRROR OF MEDICAL EDUCATION: silence, periphery or centrality?” The research was applied in the context of medical education, addressing the health universe related to transgeneralities, in academic literature, in the textualities of the printed media and in the use of the social name in contemporary times. The study was carried out within the Doctoral Program in Medicine and Human Health at Bahiana.

“The panel discussed an important topic that contributed to thinking about affirmative public policies regarding these categories (race and gender),” highlighted the professor at Bahiana. The forum was held by the Federal University of Recôncavo (UFRB) and had as its central theme “Our Feminisms Revisited: A Tribute to Luiza Bairros”, remembering the militant, intellectual and activist of the feminist and anti-racist struggle in Brazil.
