The Researchers Forum of Bahiana reached its 14th edition bringing as a novelty the Pre-Forum, a meeting between Dr. Wilson Savino, coordinator of the National Institute of Science and Technology in Neuromodulation (INCT-NIM) / Fiocruz-RJ and researchers from Bahiana, which took place on October 17th, at Campus Brotas. The program aimed to present the institution and some research developed in the area of neuroscience.

On the occasion, the guest, who also gave the lecture “Neuroscience: from assistance to research”, within the program of the 14th Researchers Forum of Bahiana, on October 18, at the Cabula Campus, visited the HTLV center of Bahiana, meeting with the leaders of the institution's research groups at the rector's office. The meeting was attended by the coordinator of the HTLV Center, Dr. Bernardo Galvão, the pro-rector of Research, Innovation and Stricto Sensu Graduate Studies, Dr. Atson Fernandes, and the institution's faculty and researchers and members of the Health Research Projects Center. In addition to showing visitors the history of the institution and the research produced there, the meeting also allowed researchers to present what their research groups have been producing and hear from Dr. Savino his impressions and new perspectives on the research presented.

“Research in Bahiana has already taken off, despite still being very young. There are two points that can very quickly promote an even greater increase than what is happening here, which are internationalization and joining networks, because we cannot do everything, which is why research networks are important. The qualification in clinical campuses and research in human beings is excellent here.” These were some of the points raised by the visitor.
