The Professional Master's Program in Psychology and Health Interventions was present at the 20th Symposium on Research and Scientific Exchange of the National Association for Research and Graduate Studies in Psychology (ANPEPP), which took place at the Convention Center in Vitória (ES) from September 18 to 21. The event's theme was “Scientific policy and affirmative actions: knowledge production and democratization of science,” with the aim of promoting a discussion on scientific policy in the country and the training of qualified human resources, in conjunction with the democratization of the Brazilian National Graduate System and research promotion policies. ANPEPP has promoted this debate because it recognizes the importance of combating historical processes of social inequality in the construction of graduate studies in Brazil.
The entourage of Bahiana was attended by the coordinator of the master's program, Professor Mônica Daltro, Professor Marilda Castelar, editors-in-chief of Revista Psicologia, Diversidade e Saúde and teachers Milena Lisboa and Leda Lessa.
Throughout the program, the delegation of Bahiana participated in the Thematic Panel "Scientific and Postgraduate Policies", in the Affirmative Action Policies Forums in Postgraduate Studies in Psychology; in the Internationalization: Policies, Challenges and Innovative Models Forums, in addition to the Scientific Journals and Research Ethics Forums and the Quadrennial Evaluation of Graduate Programs in Psychology: present and future. "The event allowed for important discussions about postgraduate programs in Psychology, such as the internationalization of research, the regulation of ethics committees, the quadrennial evaluation system of programs that will take place next year, in addition to enabling meetings with researchers from all over the country", says Mônica Daltro.
