Equal Pay Law No. 14.611, enacted on July 3, 2023, is an important legal milestone for promoting equal pay and remuneration criteria between men and women in companies.

A Bahiana has, throughout its history, consolidated and expanded its practices and policies when it comes to gender diversity, currently being among the best companies to work for in the country in the women's ranking (26th) and classified as the best company (1st) to work for in Bahia, for the 6th consecutive time, according to Great Place to Work (GPTW). The construction of this place has been the result of constant and genuine work in the search for equality, developing actions that aim to minimize structural barriers to equal conditions between men and women.

Here in Bahiana, around 60% of the staff is made up of women, there is also a predominance of women in management positions and, in the highest position in the company's career structure, the dean/general coordinator, is a woman.

In accordance with the Equal Pay Act, the Bahiana publishes below the Transparency and Equal Pay Reports for Women and Men for the 2nd Semester of 2024, prepared by the Ministry of Labor and Employment (MTE), by establishments/CNPJs of the institution with 100 or more employees (only 1 CNPJ has less than 100). The data is extracted from E-social, and some information about the remuneration criteria and existing policies is forwarded by the institution through the Emprega Brasil Portal. Some CNPJs have less than three women or three men in the group analyzed, for this reason they were not counted in some results. In general, the results of the MTE reports demonstrate very positive data regarding internal pay equity in the Bahiana, and in most CNPJs, female employees have, on average, salaries equivalent to those of men or even higher, occupying most of the relevant positions within the institution, which can be evidenced by the following data:

• 60% of the staff is made up of women;
• 69% of women hold management/director positions;
• 63% of women hold senior positions;
• 62% of the teaching staff is made up of women;
