Neuroscience Research Group of Bahiana has 10 works approved at the International Congress

The Neuroscience Research Group of Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública had 10 works approved at the XXXI Brazilian Congress of Neurology, which will be held from October 16 to 19, in Campinas, São Paulo.

Over the four days, participants will be able to attend lectures by experts from all over the world, including the group leader, Professor Marcela Câmara, who will present the theme "Recognizing treatable genetic myopathies", within the panel Advances in the Diagnosis of Myopathies, on October 16, and, on October 19, will be part of the panel Challenges in Neurology, as a debater.

Regarding the success of the approved projects, she states that this is the result of the engagement of students and professionals who participate in the care of patients with neuromuscular diseases. "The projects are, for the most part, epidemiological and related to clinical evaluations of patients with diseases such as amyloidosis and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis," explains Marcela Câmara.
