Bahiana and UNEB hold International Forum on Climate and Environmental Change

Promote reflections on the importance of recognizing the Earth as a universal heritage that must be preserved by humanity. This is one of the objectives of the UNEB-CCH / FIUCCH International Forum – 2024 CLIMATE AND ENVIRONMENTAL CHANGE: instruments for reduction and confrontation in defense of life on Earth, an achievement of the Escola Bahiana de Medicina e Saúde Pública, in partnership with UNEB, which will take place from October 2nd to 4th, at the Cabula Campus of Bahiana. The event is aimed at high school students, elementary school teachers, undergraduate and graduate students from various areas, university professors and society in general. Open Applications!

The event also aims to promote a comprehensive debate on climate and environmental change, highlighting the urgent need for effective strategies to mitigate its impacts and develop public policies that help protect the planet. With a rich program of conferences, discussion panels and exhibitions, the forum seeks to integrate scientific and traditional knowledge to face the challenges posed by anthropogenic processes.

During the forum, experts from various fields will come together to discuss the impacts of climate and environmental change and explore tools and metrics for their assessment and control. The discussion panels will address crucial topics, such as the causes and effects of climate change, the importance of popularizing scientific knowledge, and the role of art and education in raising awareness and social mobilization. In addition, the event will feature exhibitions of academic papers, mitigation actions and artistic productions, providing a platform for sharing research and initiatives to address environmental crises. The forum also aims to raise awareness about climate and environmental change, as well as provide tools and resources so that participants can contribute more effectively to the preservation and sustainability of the planet.
