Research Groups linked to the Physical Education course have seven works approved by SICE

The 47th International Symposium on Sports Sciences (SICE) will take place in October, in the city of São Paulo.

The Research Group on Metabolic Diseases, Physical Exercise and Health Technologies (METS) and the Study and Research Group on Health and Human Performance (GESPH), both linked to the Physical Education course at Bahiana, had together seven papers accepted for presentation at the 47th International Symposium on Sports Sciences (SICE), which will take place from October 10 to 12, in São Paulo. The scientific event is a significant milestone in the world calendar, being the only one outside the United States endorsed by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM).

Led by the course coordinator and professor of the PgMSH and Health Technologies Programs, Professor Clarcson Plácido, METS had 4 approved papers, produced in partnership with other professors, graduates of the master's programs and undergraduate students. In turn, GESPH, which is led by professors Daniell Muniz and Paula Cristina Araujo, won 3 articles to be presented during the event.

The Symposium is being organized by the renowned Center for Studies of the Physical Fitness Laboratory of São Caetano do Sul, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. The symposium will be a meeting point for leading experts in the areas of Sports Sciences, Physical Activity and Health, both from Brazil and internationally.
