Academics graduating from the Medicine course at Bahiana once again left the mark of the institution enshrined in the Doctor Professor Roberto Santos Award, granted by the Bahia Academy of Medicine. The ceremony, which celebrated the 68th year of the entity's founding, was held on July 10th and recognized the course completion work of the university's academics. Bahiana Cristiana Bello Nogueira and Allêh Kauan Santos Nogueira who won third and second place respectively.
Allêh Kauan Santos Nogueira won second place with the work "Statistical intelligence versus artificial intelligence in predicting events in acute coronary syndromes", which was supervised by professor Luís Cláudio Correia. Third place went to graduate student Cristiana Bello Nogueira, who competed with the work "Histopathological evaluation of hepatocellular carcinoma in hepatology reference centers, in Salvador-Bahia, from 2012 to 2022", with professor Raimundo Paraná Ferreira Filho as advisor. First place was awarded to UNIFACS graduate student Beatriz Barreto Duarte, with the work "Burden of tuberculosis and determinants of treatment results according to age in Brazil: a national study of 896.314 cases reported between 2010 and 2019", with the guidance from professor Bruno Bezerril Andrade, who is also a professor of the Medicine course at Bahiana.
The Professor Doutor Roberto Santos Award is awarded annually to the author of the best work completing the Medicine course (undergraduate) in the State of Bahia. The objective is to encourage the quality of scientific research in undergraduate Medicine.

Academic Clarice Oliveria Santos won 3rd place for best poster in the Nursing category, with work supervised by professor Glícia Gleide Gonçalves Gama.
