Bahiana For One Day begins its 2024 edition

A Bahiana received, during the month of May, a visit from high school students from Lince (8/05), Módulo (15/05) and Nossa Senhora da Conceição (22/05), who participated in the Bahiana For One Day in 2024. The program is an initiative of the Customer Relationship Center at Bahiana (Relaci), which seeks to support professional guidance work in high schools, providing students with information about undergraduate courses and contact with the institution's academic environment.

The visits took place at the Cabula Campus, following a circuit of activities that included the Dental Center of Bahiana, where visitors were able to learn about the practice environment of Dentistry students. The Biomedicine course was presented in the Microscopy Laboratory, and the Nursing course could be learned through a simulation of a Nursing consultation.

The Physiotherapy course provided high school students with knowledge about electrophysical resources. In turn, the Physical Education course carried out an activity about the Sports Science Laboratory. The Myths and Truths about Psychology activity enabled a debate about the profession, which allowed visitors to better understand the routine of professional psychologists. To learn more about the Medicine course, the “Choosing Medicine” chat was held with the course coordinator Prof. Humberto Castro Lima and professor Carle Porcino.
