Nursing student wins award at cardiology conference

Academic Clarice Oliveria Santos won 3rd place for best poster in the Nursing category, with work supervised by professor Glícia Gleide Gonçalves Gama.

"Relationship between left ventricular ejection fraction and drug treatment in individuals with heart failure". This was the theme of the panel by 8th semester Nursing student Clarice Oliveira Santos, who won 3rd place in the Nursing category at the 36th Cardiology Congress of the State of Bahia, which took place from May 16th to 18th, at the Convention Center from Salvador. The work was supervised by professor Glícia Gleide Gonçalves Gama.

“It is extremely important that students actively participate in congresses and scientific events, as these activities enrich their knowledge and improve the development of their scientific research”, declared Clarice, emphasizing that the Bahiana, with its teaching staff, offers great support in carrying out this research, encouraging the search for new learning.

The student also recognizes the award as a result of the guidance work provided by the institution's teachers. “The award at the congress is recognition of the excellent work that was developed with the guidance and assistance of the professors at Bahiana, which I am proud to be part of!”, highlighted the Nursing student.
